Agni Bay

Agni Bay holidays

Looking for a taste of rural Corfu? Agni Bay is happy to oblige. This sleepy cove at the north-east end of the island is the ideal place to switch off. After all, what more could you want than a forest-backed beach, and teeny tavernas dishing up grandma’s recipes, never-ending ouzo and lots of local banter?

The simple life

Not much goes on around Agni Bay, but that’s the whole point. Lose track of time as you spend blissful days on the beach with a book, before diving into the blue-green water for a spot of snorkelling. You could even pack a picnic and take a woodland walk to look for butterflies, or jump off at neighbouring jetties as you boat around the coast.

Taverna town

You’ve three top-notch tavernas here, so make sure you try them all. These are take-your-time kinda places, where you slowly savour the catch of the day as you laugh with the locals and guitars strum in the background. At night, make sure you bag a table with a view of the moonlit bay – it’s nothing short of magical.
