You don’t have to go far for something a little swankier. In St Vlas, mountain scenery meets a modern marina, casinos and cocktail bars for that A-list look. Nearby Obzor’s sleepy sands are really something, while its charming town square and pretty palm-filled park make for the best sunny afternoon strolls.

UNESCO-protected Nessebar is the one to beat for a bit of sightseeing.
