Getting around There are lots of buses that travel regularly through the city, and taxis are on hand to get you from A to B. But remember to agree a fare before you set off and have change available to pay with. You could even hop aboard one of the city’s bottle-green horse-drawn carriages, also known as calèches. Marrakech is quite compact and flat though, so pull on those comfy shoes and get around on foot.
From Marrakech Airport, the public transport option into the city is the airport bus. It runs between the terminal and central areas such as Jemaa el‑Fnaa and Gueliz, with services operating throughout the day. The stop is located just outside Arrivals.
