Perched high above the Grand Harbour, the Upper Barrakka Gardens provide a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the balcony offers one of the best vantage points in Malta. It's well worth visiting the gardens at noon or 4pm, when gun salutes are fired. There's also a lift connecting the gardens to the Grand Harbour.
