The Neo-Baroque Royal Opera House is located at the entrance to Valletta on Republic Street, and has survived many attempts to destroy the beautiful building, including a bombing campaign in World War Two. It now hosts performances under the name of Piazza Teatru Rjal. Visit the square at night to see the building illuminated.
