On your bike

Who's for renting a bike and exploring the lakeside from the saddle? The cycle paths around here are incredible for views, both early morning and late afternoon. One of the top trails goes to Bardolino, where you'll pass glittering water as you pedal towards vibrant olive groves.

La dolce vita

Right on your doorstep, the pretty church of Santuario di San Zeno and characterful, artisanal Cisano Market will charm you. Waterfront wanders to Lazise and Bardolino are musts too. Adults, keep an eye on the calendar – Bardolino Wine Festival, with its pizza stalls and fireworks, is a highlight in September/October.

Day-tripping delights

Springboard from Cisano to sepia-soaked Verona, a city steeped in Shakespearean heritage. Consider Venice too – float along on gondola rides before checking out Murano and Burano. You could also stay close and head to Movieland, the Hollywood park for silver-screen fans with film sets galore, more than 20 attractions, and themed restaurants!
