Arco dei Sergi

Arco dei Sergi

Fans of ancient Roman architecture will love the Arch of the Sergii in Pula. It was built in the first century by Salvia Postuma Sergii, to honour the members of her family who fought in the Battle of Actium – the war involving Roman leader Octavian against Mark Antony and Cleopatra. It formed part of the old city walls.
