Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

Find these natural swimming pools on the northwest coast of the island. This area is known for its rough coastline dotted with lava rocks. At high tide the water rises above the rocks filling up the swimming pools. It's a great spot for a dip in summer, but in the winter months the current is too strong for swimming.
