Sea Gate

Sea Gate

Another city relic is the Sea Gate, or St Chrysogonus’ Gate, located just by the waterfront. It’s got some delicate sculptures that have stood the test of time – see in particular the Venetian lion and the remaining parts of the Roman triumphal arch. There is also an inscription memorial to the Battle of Lepanto.
