Chaîne des Puys

Chaîne des Puys

Featuring a chain of over 80 dormant volcanic domes and cones, Chaîne des Puys is a beautiful mountain range in central France. The last eruption dates back around six thousand years, so it’s completely safe to visit – in fact, it’s a walker's paradise! The range is home to the iconic GR144 long-distance trek, but there are much shorter and easier trails for beginners and intermediate hikers too.
