Where to go on a city break in December
Rome
Rome is bound to blow you away, no matter what time of year you visit. Although you'll need to wrap up, you can make the most of shorter queues for all the hottest spots, like the Colosseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum. And when you're done sightseeing, you can bunk down in a cosy restaurant to enjoy a steaming bowl of pasta.
Prague
The cobbled roads, hidden courtyards and fairytale architecture of Prague look even prettier wrapped in twinkling festive lights. Take in the medieval sights before hitting the Christmas markets. Stop at the Old Town Square market for a truly authentic experience and shop handicrafts, traditional foods and maybe even a famous Czech beer.
Krakow
