Palazzo Salimbeni is an urban palace built in the 14th century as the home of a merchant family. It was remodelled in neo-gothic style inspired by the Palazzo Pubblico in the 19th century. Today, it houses the main offices of one of the oldest banks in the world, the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
