Ferries and water taxis head out to nearby Kalamos and Kastos, perfect for a day trip. On land, rent a bike or scooter to explore olive groves and viewpoints above the village. Evenings are for strolls along the promenade, a drink at the harbour bar and admiring the sunset over the Ionian.

Mytikas feels distinctively lived-in and local – ideal if you’re after an authentic Greek escape. The old quarter’s narrow lanes are lined with low stone houses and shady courtyards.
