Temple of Jupiter

Temple of Jupiter

Guarded by the defaced Egyptian sphinx, the Temple of Jupiter, king of the Roman gods, is now a Christian baptistry dedicated to John the Baptist. The ceiling is original, dating back to Roman times, and it’s worth a visit just to see its vaults despite the small size of the temple.
