Gregorius of Nin

Gregorius of Nin

Gregorius of Nin's statue is one of the most famous images in Split. The old bishop fought for the right to use the Old Croatian language in religious services. You’ll notice he is a rather dull apart from his shiny big toe. This is because it has been polished by passers-by who believe touching it will bring good luck.
