The citadel has some impressive bastions where you can view the whole island. Walk along the ramparts and view the city, and see inside where some old residences lie in ruins. It will take a couple of hours to walk the whole way around. Afterwards, why not head to the Visitors’ Centre? You’ll find interactive touch screens with plenty of history on, along with a theatre where you can watch a video on the salient moments of the millenarian history of Cittadella.
