Baths of Aphrodite

Baths of Aphrodite

As legend has it, the Goddess of Love used to bathe in a small grotto near Polis, now known as the Baths of Aphrodite. Shaded by a fig tree and surrounded by a backcloth of sweet-smelling wild flowers, this idyllic pond is where she met her beloved Adonis. This unspoilt area is perfect hiking territory.
