If you’re after adventures, PortAventura Theme Park’s the place. Once you’ve braved Shambhala’s gravity-defying heights, brace yourself to break the speed limit as you rocket up to 85mph in just three seconds on Furius Baco. Ready for more? Over in Ferrari Land, Europe’s tallest and fastest vertical accelerator goes from nought to 110mph in five turbocharged seconds as the rollercoaster reaches a 112m peak. There are two piston-inspired bounce-back towers that freefall 55m too.
Best for little kids
There’s a lot the little ones will enjoy at PortAventura World. They can go for a spin on the Giant Tea Cups, ride Canoes through Polynesia or fire water cannons on the Angkor boat ride. Best of all, you can all enter the world of Sesame Street and meet Elmo and Julia – a curious new character who’s there to promote inclusivity for all little ones. And don’t miss the mazes, log flumes and runaway trains!
