Magic Tropical Splash

I came to this hotel in May with my mum and 4 year old daughter. We was very nervous before arrival because there was so many bad reviews …. I mean terrible reviews and I wanted my daughters first abroad holiday to be special and my god she loved it here. Very friendly staff and kid orientated. The animation team and kids clubs went above and beyond for my daughter …. If you don’t have kids I’d go elsewhere but if you do so worth it!! Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, nice cocktails, nice food. Everyone works super hard. I went to the vip mundomar trip which was fantastic. People are moaning about the lifts but I never waited more than about 3 minutes but maybe I was lucky I don’t know. I would defo bring your own cups or you will have to pay for one but I read reviews before going n purchased some cute ones before going. Absolute fantastic holiday, I don’t know why people are moaning maybe they’re abit snobby I don’t know but it’s all inclusive not the ritz.

Good Family hotel with lots of activities. Can be very noisy music starts at 11 and go's onto 11. Fairly Basic room but kept very clean by the staff. Can get rowdy at night police called a couple of times while we were there. Not for the older couple looking to relax.

Just spent 7 days at magic tropical splash, with my partner and nearly 3 year old. Hotel is very dated and could do with a good renovation. Room was exactly like photos and no issues with the room at all but the rest of the hotel was quite old and lots of things need fixing. We stayed in block 3 and there were 4 lifts, two of them were quite scary to be in as sounded like they would break down any minute. The pools were as pictured and lots of sunbeds, but the water was very cold - the breeze travelling through the buildings surrounding us didn’t help but I suppose the hotel can’t help that - just a warning as my little one found it hard to enjoy the pool as was too cold (maybe we went too early in the year) The soft play and games room were very damaged - the netting on the softplay was hanging off in parts and the part to climb up was completely broken so was nearly unuseable, the games room needs a complete renovation as there were broken tiles and flooring. The food was good, great selection for breakfast and dinner and a snack bar that was open all day, although it was the same food in the snack bar every day so no complaints about the food as there was something for everyone. The hotel staff although not rude they were very unhelpful at times and seemed like they all wanted to be elsewhere. The Jet2 staff were more than helpful though The entertainment was a bit repetitive and on very late - didn’t start til 9pm so was very late for children. Also as soon as the sun went down it was very breezy so a jacket or some warmer clothes was a must (again maybe too early in the year) the music went on quite late too, on average it didn’t stop until 11.30pm so our room was quite noisy at times as we were overlooking pool/entertainment area Overall the holiday was fine, feel a bit let down by the hotel and staff but had an ok week. Won’t be staying there again though.

We visited here in the October half term. The hotel itself was nice and the facilities were fabulous, extremely suited to children. It’s a little bit far out from the centre of Benidorm, however the local bus stops right outside the hotel and only takes about 15 minutes to get you there. Children’s entertainment was great, especially for Halloween, however it started quite late, which isn’t great for little ones. We booked the hotel as the pool area looked absolutely fantastic and would be extremely suited to our 2 year old to keep him busy. This was true, however the whole pool was pretty much in shade all day. This was the same for all of the sunbeds. This meant that my toddler went into the water and after 10 minutes or so, came out shivering and took a long time to warm. After 3 days, he then refused to go back in the water and actually became scared of the pool which was disappointing. No chance of sunbathing as again, as the sunbeds only got about an hour of sun each day which was a massive shame. This was due to the large trees and buildings that surrounded the hotel. Not sure if it is like this all the time, but it definitely but a negative spin on our trip. We did enjoy the hotel and would visit again, but maybe in the middle of summer when you wouldn’t mind being in the shade!

Don’t waste your money! Food was rubbish, sunbeds in a morning was ridiculous, not allowed inflatables in the pool so for a 9 month old baby that needs one is a disgrace! The lifts are horrible, we were on the 18th floor with a pram so had no choice but to use them! The amount of money this hotel generates you might of thought they would update things but obviously not! My son got stung by something, I called reception to be told they are too busy so wait, called an hour later for them to be extremely rude and say they’re busy with other people! An expensive necklace was accidentally left in the bathroom when we left, we emailed the hotel twice and had no response! The location is also terrible, the nearest beach is tiny, it’s basically in the middle of nowhere!

Facilities great, rooms great ,bar/restaurant staff friendly and extremely hard working. Down points lifts continuously break got stuck 5 times and food very very disappointing spent a fortune on takeaway food for one child.

Great hotel family friendly friendly staff could not do enough for you food was good plenty of snacks and ice cream for the children rooms very spacious and cleaned every day entertainment for the kids during the day and at night

Really enjoyed our 10 days at the Tropical Splash. Food was great, decent entertainment, lovely big room and comfy beds. The staf were friendly and helpful. Only improvement i could suggest is perhaps the rooms could do with a lick of paint and an upgrade. This wouldn't stop us going back.

Great value for money, lots for the kids to do and loads of opportunities to do excursions. Great location, short walk to a beautiful beach! The all inclusive was great, the buffet had such a range of foods, can’t complain about it. The hotel itself was clean, staff were constantly hard at work! My only gripe is only one of the lifts to our floor was working, so sometimes we had to wait a long time to get to and from our apartment, we had a buggy so stairs were not always an options. Once the second lift was repaired things were much better. In regards to the excursions; we did a downhill biking one, the zoo, waterfall and a little village. Jet2 rep at our hotel (Alex) was brilliant, couldn’t do enough for us and was very informative and approachable. The guide tours on all the excursions were wonderful; well organised and most of all fun! We hope to return again next year!!

Great hotel, food was fab and entertainment was brilliant and they cater for everyone adults and kids. Beach is a 5 minute walk from hotel and find the beach better than the big poniente beach. Staff are very friendly

We were a family of 4 with two teens, we loved the relaxing environment, the fact that there was so much to do for all, plenty of food choice, lots to do locally we were there 7 days and used the free bus into town, made use of a few organised trips and loved the activities around the hotel, would recommend and go again. Hotel staff were also very helpful and friendly, hotel was also very clean
