Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas

Just had a really horrible time the food is horrible me and my family had to eat out for the whole of the duration my mental health was worsened by going we felt we got no help when we ask for it we felt we where look down upon.i paid just under £4000.00 and felt like I had paid for nothing really upset .

We went with 2 people with learning disabilities and we will NEVER return. The clients resemble animals most of the time. We saw them spitting phlegm on the poolside and vomiting in the bins. A lot of big groups of hens and stags. Takeaways flung in the corridors and lads screaming and shouting off balconies all day and night. Groups of lads discussing there sexual antics loudly despite kids sitting on next table. The food isn’t the best but not the worst but if you want 5* pay for 5*. Rooms are clean. Staff are nice and the lady round pool only told people off when they were acting up she was lovely to us. Smoking area is at the bottom of the disabled ramp coming from big pool and opposite the kids area so u have to push wheelchairs through the smoke and around the chairs of smokers. Just a silly place to put it really. If you’re looking for a party holiday with no sleep then crack on and book it but it’s not somewhere I’d take my kids. You get what you pay for I suppose

Came here for 5 nights as our son loves the programme benidorm and wanted to see where it was filmed, great hotel in great location near bars, restaurants, shops and beach just 5 min walk. The pool area is amazing although quite deep for children and no inflatables alllowed only swimming aids, staff great had activities every day in pool, nightly entertainment good too and bar prices reasonable only €4 a pint all staff very friendly, room cleaned everyday, lifts not good quicker to use the stairs! My main gripe though is no childrens choice for evening meal no nuggets/sausage etc only chips! All in all great holiday would definitely return to sol pelicanos 😊

On arrival, having advised ahead of time that there was someone with mobility issues, to be told we were allocated a room on the 9th floor. It took some arguing and pointing out that in the event of a fire they would be stranded as the use of lifts is not allowed. There were 2 lifts with a capacity of 5 people each for 2000 guests. The access lift from street level down to reception did not work for the whole fortnight so wheelchair access was via a long steep ramp, which was difficult to push a wheelchair up. The food was basic. Not bad but basic. There were 2 table tennis tables, but no bats or balls. When we next visit this resort we will be choosing an alternative hotel.

The problem here is that the hotel facilities are to small for the number of guests or the staff were in sufficient . Massive cues at reception massive cues for meals no space around the pool not good really I wouldn’t stop here again I will try the ambassador instead .also the poolside catering was poor quality and expensive

This hotel was clean but I thought it was very lacking in entertainment for children. My children (ages 6 and 3) attended the kids club but did not want to return as the entertainers spoke in Spanish so they spent the whole time not understanding what was going on. Also the evening entertainment was very poor. 30 minutes for the kids disco, which again was all in Spanish, was mainly songs no one had heard of. The entertainment after for adults was very poor so we ended up having to go out each evening. I loved Benidorm but would not return to this hotel. Also the check in on arrival was an hour wait and 2 other families I travelled with had to change rooms twice due to faulty air conditioning and showers not working. The staff on reception were not very helpful. The Jet2 rep was fantastic though.

Stayed here 5 nights I june, first time in hotel and benidorm, and really enjoyed the stay The hotel has many pools and although there was alot of people there we had no trouble getting a sunbed, the pools were lovely, there was water aerobics in one pool, night entertainment outside we watched from our balcony. Food was what you expect abroad but we always found something to eat. The hotel was positioned in a great place for bars and shops and a short walk to the beach, only thing was the late check-in we arrived about 11am and couldn't get into our room till 4pm was hot and bothered by this time, next time I will put shorts and top etc in my hand luggage so can change and be more comfortable whilst waiting, there is somewhere to store luggage whilst waiting

The hotel room was basic but clean. Drinks expensive in the hotel compared to local bars. Only stayed bed and breakfast but the choice and quality was very good. Plenty of room around the pools. No trouble finding a sun bed.

I have been in Sol Pelicanos Ocas twice now and will come back again! Staff were lovely and helpful. Clean rooms, food was amazing and there were a lot of choices. friendly bar staff! Evening entertainment was good but there's a lot of places around the hotel if you prefer something different.
