Hotel Servigroup Torre Dorada

Myself and my partner recently stayed at the Servigroup Torre Dorada in the Poniente area of Benidorm for 7 nights. We absolutely loved the hotel and had a fantastic experience. The hotel itself is traditional, but has recently been refurbished to a high standard. We were only a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Poniente beach, which was hardly ever busy and you were never fighting over sun beds. Also along the beach front were a wide variety of bars and restaurants which sold good quality food and drinks for a good price with nice views. There are also thrift shops and supermarkets in the area for your convenience. The hotel is on the top of a very steep hill, so the walk back from the beach was a tiring one (especially if you took the short cut which happened to be 227 steps!). The room was simple yet pretty, and very well equipped. We had a fully functioning bathroom with a power shower, a double bed with extra pillows, a wardrobe, a safe (free of charge), a fridge, a television, a hairdryer and a large balcony with a table and chairs and a clothes dryer. We also had a lovely view of the beach on one side and the pool on the other. The room was very clean and the cleaners came every day between 9 and 3 with fresh towels and bedding. We had paid for full board so our breakfast, lunch and dinner were all included in our package. Breakfast was between 8am and 10am and included a wide choice, such as a cooked breakfast, pastries, meats and cheeses, and a wide selection of fruits, yoghurts and cereals. Lunch was between 1pm and 3pm and was a typical buffet style lunch, with different choices each day. Dinner was quite late, between 8pm and 10pm and was usually a themed buffet, for example one night was seafood, another night had an oriental theme. Drinks are not included, however they were cheap enough and all the staff in the restaurant were helpful, attentive, and all spoke English to a good standard. The pool was large, a lot larger than it looked in the online photographs. It was never too busy so again, finding a sun bed was not a problem. The pool itself was very clean, and heated to a good temperature. There was also a small children's pool. The poolside bar had a wide selection of drinks, snacks and ice creams on offer, all of which were reasonably priced. Every day there were reps by the pool area, hosting games and activities for both adults and children, including a daily game of water pool in the pool. 10/10 would recommend.

Super quality hotel located in a nice quiet area if Benidorm, but quite close to the beach. The hotel was excellent, the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping of our hotel was to a very standard indeed. Also the food in the restraurent was of a high quality with plenty of variety to suit all my families taste. The hotel was only 3 star but should have been 4+ because we couldn't fault the this hotel in any way what so ever. We all had a fantastic holiday, thanks to this well managed hotel.

Beautiful hotel Staff are excellent, good variety of food, pleasant waiting staff. Entertainment very poor, No background music no dancing only on two evenings a week, can't fault the staff at all they are lovely.

A great hotel based on the service, presentation, position and the helpful and friendly staff the sea view from the room were unbeatable a nice quite area with a great bus service near hand we look forward to our next visit to Benidorm and this hotel will top of our list well done Servigroup.

The hike up to the hotel is heavy going but you are warned of this. I'm sure the hotel and/or Jet2 could do something about this maybe a minibus up to the hotel or even provide transport for luggage up that steep hill. The road is unsafe as its on a one way system on a long bend with little refuge when dragging cases up or down. Although traffic is fairly light some of the cars travelled far too fast we were almost knocked over on the crossing. Once you have your pass card you can get down most of the hill via the swimming pool lift but the lift was out of order on for the last 4 days. It was late October when we arrived so most of the time pool area was too cold and windy also noisy because of the extensive road works outside. Our room was comfy with extensive views out to sea and we were only on the 3rd floor. The hotel food was really good from breakfast through to evening meal. If you like your cooked breakfast best bacon I've seen served in a hotel and cooked to order on the show cooking. Staff really good friendly and efficient We were full board but didn't always have lunch but the lunches we did have were really good in fact sometimes better than evening and it was quieter. Entertainment very low key. Out and about plenty of buses at the bottom of the hill only £1.50 flat fare any journey. There are steps from the front of the Hotel down to Poniennte Beach but they were very rough and unsafe. We found it much better to go down the hill and before meeting the dual carriageway turn left for Calla Finestrat or right for Poniennte beach. Before reaching the Poniennte behind the Delphin Hotel is Gingernuts who serve nice coffee. This hotel grows on you and you do get used to the steep climbs. If you don.t like hills the Delphin is right on the beach but costs a lot more
