Surviving among the fast-paced playground of modern resorts is Kefalos’ tasty restaurant culture, making sure all cuisine specialities keep your taste buds active every meal of the day. From Australian BBQ to Greek meze, and seafood specialities to light bites by the beach, Kefalos has every gastronomic delight sorted.
Lounge around on the sand or get straight into the sea – whatever you do, make the most of this beachfront bliss. Try out jet-skiing, banana boating and windsurfing, or even take yourself off for a day on Castri Island. However you experience the waves, Kefalos is a shorefront heaven.
Gently bobbing on the water, you’ve got old moored fishing boats to gaze upon, and indulgent landscape sweeping all around the resort. But if you want to step it up a notch, dust off your metal detector and check out the White Stone Cave. It’s a fascinating natural site for history buffs!
Kefalos, Kos
Agios Stefanos is a stunning beach just three kilometres north of Kefalos, surrounded by striking scenery and beautiful flowers. Explore the ruins of an ancient Basilica temple on the beach, or swim or hire a pedalo across the crystal-clear water to ring the church bell on the islet of Kastri.
Kefalos, Kos
Nestled in a secluded cove on the outskirts of Kefalos is Camel beach, so called after a rock formation that resembles the animal from a distance. The calm, cool waters are perfect for snorkelling and the sandy shingle beach is a great spot for sunbathing. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available to hire.
Kefalos, Kos
This is the most famous beach on the island for a reason – expect bright white sand and clear blue water with a good selection of facilities. We’re talking sun loungers to rent, a small bar, water sports and even some slides and inflatables. Want to do something cool? Go searching for the volcanic gas bubbles in the water!
