Mediterraneo Hotel

Just back from a week at this Hotel. Took two daughters 14 and 17 years and booked a Junior Suite. Basically on arrival it is two rooms with a bathroom between. Balcony only has 2 chairs and no room for anymore. One air con unit in main bedroom so girls room was like a sauna . With windows open room was filled with Mosquitos daily and all of us were bitten despite wearing spray. The air con unit was on the balcony and barely coped with the main room. Did not help that it was only on when you were in the room as the key fob was needed to activate the electric. Food aimed at Eastern European and German market and this led to eating out some nights. All inclusive was not as inclusive as most with charges for basic cocktails and milkshakes for the girls. No food after 2130 hours not even cake. Not enough beds by the two pools and those that were there were taken by 07:30 most mornings as we discovered on day 1. Some beds had towels on them but were not used all day. Entertainment very poor and the reviews i had read about professional; evening entertainment were misleading. Enthusiastic team but not what you would expect fro a 4 star resort. Staff were very helpful and friendly and this made the stay more bearable. Crete is lovely but find another hotel.

Stayed at the Mediterraneo Hotel for 9 nights - returned 13/06/19. On arrival late at night not happy with the room provided, was asked to return in the morning. Reception staff very helpful as offered 2 alternative rooms to view. Must say a big thank you to Agapi for her support and professionalism in offering an alternative room. Agapi's reception colleague, Michalis also a positive representation of how this hotel looks after its guests. Must say that all staff at this hotel work extremely hard, are very polite and they do not stop working or looking after guests. Food of reasonable quality - generally enough choice, however limited for the wife who can be a fussy eater. Downside to this hotel is there is no evening entertainment and the restaurant area can be very busy when hotel us at max capacity. Rooms are spread over a large area and could be difficult for those who struggle with mobility. Local buses regular and cheap to use.

On arrival me and my friend were allocated our room which ment we had to cross a small foot bridge but my friend has a massive fear so when we asked to change we were promptly given a new room without any hassle from the lovely receptionist Maria so after a little walk and may I say a few sets of stairs we found our room which was quite basic but clean and to be honest we only slept there so it done us fine. Anyway on to the food which me and my friend agreed was lovely with different themed nights and always something to our liking and the alcohol was self service apart from the spirits which were served by the barman. The pool was clean and the family area and pool was quite lively with plenty going on for the kids. So all in all I can honestly say I will be back to the meditreanio don't when but I'll definitely go back.

eWent to Rhodes last yearfor first experience of Greece and had a great holiday Expected to be disappointed this year.was definitely not!,The friendliness and helpfulness attitude that the hotel staff exhibited was exceptional.location was perfect for sightseeing.near bus stops to either side of the island

The room was ok but is starting to look very tired and in need of refurbishment.The food was good but the hotel was a long way short of being ‘All Inclusive’ if you get your timing wrong......it is not even possible to get a coffee in the morning.Go elsewhere for the evening entertainment or you will be disappointed.

Went here expecting long hikes up and down from the room to the pool and bar. Was pleasantly surprised to see we got a room just above the bar area which was actually very quiet at night. Rooms are sparse but as we are only there to sleep the it does the job, WiFi in the room that you pay for is 10 euros per week for two devices. Food was plentiful and always something to eat, usually easy enough to find a table for five people. Drinks were easy enough, Beer wine and soft drinks are on tap and you help yourself to those, only going to the bar staff for locally produced spirits, or you can pay for premium spirits or cocktails at a reasonable price. Staff were generally very friendly, but they are busy so we just let them get on with it though I did find the bar staff gravitated towards the heavy tippers and those paying for premium drinks and cocktails, wasnt that bothered as I was happy on beer and wine mostly. Pool area was ideal for us. we stayed mainly by the large pool in front of the restaurant and therev was always sunbeds available if you were reasonably early getting there. we didn't use the other pools too much but they looked fun as that was where the organised games were. There is no wristband scheme here as it is fully inclusive for all and as its away from the resort. Apparently they do random checks i.e. ask for name and room number but I never did see this. I remember one evening returning to the hotel from bus stop about 150m away to see some guy across the road heading back to his private villa with two plastic glasses of beer in hand, obviously having come from our hotel. The hotel is situated about a mile from Hersonissos, with a spar supermarket and a couple local restaurants about half way there, a nice walk for an evening. The bus stops outside are about 150m away and these are the pick up points for all the organised trips you may go on All in all a very good hotel, my only complaint is this is not my opinion of a 4 star hotel, I would, as many others have, rate it at 3 star without a second thought.

I am just back from a two week family holiday at this Hotel, with my 2 daughters and their partners and 3 grandchildren. I don't know how this hotel gets bad reviews as I could not fault it. The staff were great and so friendly, nothing was to much trouble for them. The animation team were great and done a great job, Jerome was good with the day time activities and was always laughing with us, Priscilla the kids rep was great as well, not only with the kids but with the adults as well. Anna was the sporty one who done the aqua Gym and aerobics and dealt with things behind the scenes. Nikos the daytime bartender was great and good at making cocktails for us, was friendly and charming as well. Anton the bar tender at night was another good cocktail maker and nothing was to much bother to him. Room was cleaned every day with cleans towels and sheets changed twice a day. It was my daughters birthday while we were away and they reserved a table for us and decorated it with banner and balloons and also produced a birthday cake for her which was great. I would go back to this hotel as we had a great time and did not want to leave - Kenny & Andrina Mclean from Scotland

Pools fab, rooms clean and a good size. Staff helpful and speak perfect English but the food and meal times are nothing short of awful!! Some days there was basically nothing we could eat. It us very eastern European in taste. Also can't get a drink from when breakfast finishes at 9.30 to the bars open at 11!!! Short walk (under a busy road) to the beach and hypermarket. Also no welcome meeting, didn't see rep, had to find everything out ourselves

We had a good holiday and the family room was very spacious. Good choice of food and staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside I would say that if you stay for two weeks like we did, then the entertainment at night was the same, (I thought they might have changed it!)

Nice hotel and facilities. Staff very attentive on average. Facilities although elderly are well maintained and clean. Down side is distance from town and beaches. No real entertainment to speak of. Large turnover of clients so always appears busy.

I would recommend this hotel to any one . Perfect place to stay. Staff always helpful and friendly which completes your holiday .you can walk to town as it is close about 15 mins. It is about 10 mins walk to the beach .

The hotel itself is clean with good views and close to amenities whic you need cause the food is no better than cat food and cannot begin to tell you how poor the drinks menu is all i can say is take plenty of spends if you go here you will need it

Unfortunately the food lacked in choice and would not be suitable for picky children or fussy eaters. There are two pools one feels more relaxed and pleasant whereas the other felt more package holiday. This hotel was very clean and the rooms were cleaned daily, there are lots of stairs and slopes so not suitable for those who would find this an issue. The staff however were great, very helpfull and polite. The beach is only a short walk away and very beautiful and walks into town were not too taxing either.

Excellent accommodation and most helpful and friendly staff. Swimming pools good with mini flumes enjoyed by grandchildren. Nearby beach was well patrolled by beach guard, who ensured that swimmers kept within the safe zone.

Loved this place and hotel. All the staff are fantastic and so friendly and obliging, especially security man George (guardian angel) and Yannis, at the pool bar, who looked after me and my daughter during our stay. The rooms are basic but very clean which was more important factor for me. Food delicious too.
