Blau Punta Reina Family Resort

Couldn't fault this holiday other than the usual sunbed hoggers. Beautiful grounds, great pools, good food, helpful staff. Would revisit.

There were definite pluses and minuses to this hotel. The pluses were the variety of pools and facilities for children; the splash park was a major plus! My husband also really enjoyed the larger slides too. Another benefit was the availability of ice lollies/ice creams around the pool as well as the ice cream station at lunch and dinner. Where it feel short for me was largely in just how busy it was. We went outside of school holidays to avoid this but the hotel was largely French and German who must have different holidays to the UK so everywhere was extremely busy. Going for lunch was like taking your life in to your own hands. The fact that it was very European also meant that the kids club wasn't suitable for our daughter and also the mini disco was largely inaccessible for a English speaking child. Checkin was an odd experience. It was very brief, we weren't informed where anything was and we weren't told that we could book a restaurant as part of being all inclusive. The weirdest thing was that we weren't offered to be taken to our room and the resort was enormous. We were just given a map and told off you go. Not ideal with kids and a load of luggage. The area the hotel was in was also unappealing. Last year we could take walks along the coast during the day; this year we just walked round the block which was largely a building site. The bar by the kids pool only served beer or sangria out of a tap. If you wanted a cocktail, mixer or wine, you had to walk a distance to the main pool bar. My main gripe however would be the evening food. It was exactly the same every night. I have done all inclusives before and each one has had a theme night or something different but this one was exactly the same every day. Don't get me wrong, the food was nice, I would have just liked greater variety. Overall, did I have a good holiday...yes. Would I recommend the hotel or go again...no.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The Hotel has everything for everyone. We were a family of 3. 2 adults and one child who is aged 12. She has lots of fun, made news friends. Great Waterpark, great swimming pools, great playground. Room was spacious and quiet. Room was also cleaned everyday. Food was great, lots to choose from at all times of the day. Great also for fussy eaters. The hotel was very busy at meal times, however the staff had it all planned In Regards to how to seat everyone rather than people wondering around looking for tables. Beach was down many steps so if you are less able to then you may struggle. We counted 105 steps down to the beach. Great little cove though, clear blue water, bars also on beach for drinks etc. Entertainment at night was also really good. We didnt join in with the Mini disco but that was also busy with children enjoying themselves. It was a fabulous week. We also visited the Caves of Drach which was really good The local Bus stops right outside the Hotel so you don’t have to walk far. On-site shop and local shop down the bottom of the hill a short walk from the Hotel.

Myself and my partner stayed at this resort for a week at the tail end of September 2018. The Resort itself is extremely well maintained and clean - that said the resort is huge. Thankfully we had upgraded to a sea view room which put is directly behind the smaller, quiet infinity pool at the corner of the resort. This meant that the area was quiet and relatively child free for the most part. However, the resort is very large and the amount of young families (with toddlers or younger) or family groups was alarming for a couple with no children and not expecting that many to be there. The Resort does cater to families and children, with 99% of the entertainment aimed at children. I can imagine it is very busy in school holiday times. The only time we had much interaction with the majority of the families was at meal times, with the main Buffett being pretty stressful and loud. The food was really good - in fact we had an absolutely wonderful meal in the al a carte restaurant one evening - highly recommend the lamb! The Buffett was varied each day and there was plenty to choose from. Drinks were good and again, plentiful. The rooms are all fairly standard... limited to 1 pillow each, which was a pain. But we made do. The balcony was delightful, private and had a number of plants on which was good to see.Overall, we have limited the stars because of the size of the resort and who it caters mainly for; young families and family groups. Not really ideal for a young couple looking for a quiet getaway. The location is fantastic and the views are magnificent, the food is excellent quality, freshly prepared and varied.

Lots to do near this resort, and hotel lovely but lots of steps. Accommodation very clean and some fabulous views on the sea view rooms. Self catering theres a couple of spar supermarkets on the doorstep. Few restaurants near by but they don't take cards only cash.

Just got back from Blau Punta Reina Resort, smooth check in desk, reception staff very polite had no problems, although wouldn't like their job.. Hotel gardens very well kept, we had 1 bedroom apt, ok cleaned everyday great seaview in E block yeah beds a bit firm but loved them best nights sleep for me thankyou get fed up with marshmallows in some hotels. Restaurants were good preferred the main one, there is a Spanish Restaurant and Italian, I would recommend the Spanish didn't enjoy Italian chicken dish awful! only used them once. Was on half board which suited us. Lots of variety in main and thought food excellent no problems usual all inclusive fare if people moan about the food they are fussy eaters! staff very organised in restaurants and great service and very pleasant. We used the beach more than pools, beaches are lovely and not too crowded. Their are two beaches one with a very rocky path and no good for people with mobility issues, the area is quite hilly and resort has lots of steps so be aware. This resort is great for families with small children who like to stay in a resort environment entertainment for the younger ones very good, kids club seemed well organised. The only issue we had felt there wasn't enough going on for teens even though says teen club there were a few games on in the day, and a disco only on Friday nights. Look to sorry to say Iberostar for ideas on that one. But overall value for money great place and would recommend.
