AP Oriental Beach

This hotel is first class, a fantastic location, great rooms and friendly staff. A varied buffet menu with a good choice. We were there for Christmas and were treated to a special menu, with limitless wine and special table decorations it was great.

We spent 10 days in this wonderful hotel in April 2022.This was a long awaited trip with our 18 year old Grandson and it exceeded expectations.We chose an adult only hotel for peace and quiet and a place to relax.This hotel gave us everything we wanted from the moment we entered reception.The staff could not do enough to help,the room was lovely ,large and very clean and the food was some off the best we have had in many years of travelling.Lovely landscaped grounds are perfect for relaxing and the views from the hotel of the long sand beach are just wonderful and if you can manage the steps the prvate access to the beach is a bonus.We were sorry to leave this lovely Hotel and we are planning our next visit for next year as my husband can't think if a better place to celebrate his 70th birthday

We have used this hotel in the winter months for many years. The rooms are large and airy, most have a clear sea view and everyone has a balcony or garden room. The cleanliness is good and the staff are very efficient and kind. The hotel is situated on the attractive side of Praia da Rocha, near the fortress and pier.

Lovely hotel with an enviable position,the oriental has a simple charm yet still quite luxurious and with the added bonus of been adults only.Rooms are spacious and clean,housekeeping comes daily and reception is very helpful.There is a vast selection of food at breakfast,evening meal can be a bit hit and miss and you could end up with a concoction of items on your plate!,but you will not go hungry.

Amazing from when we first arrived,and were greeted with a glass of champagne from the lovely Rubin, Our holiday was just great good food very clean all the staff were very pleasant and helpful LILLANA THE DIRECTOR took time to speak to you every day to ask was everything ok .We will certainly go back to this hotel.

Returned from this Hotel after a weeks holiday on 13/09/18. Mainly a very positive review.The Hotel is situated on the quieter side of the Praia de Rocha strip. It sits on top of the hill overlooking the fantastic Sandy beach and Marina which can be reached from the hotels own steps. The Hotel is stunning and quite inside with mainly German customersEverything about this hotel is class from the rooms, cleanliness, staff and meals. I would recommend this hotel for the relaxing couple holiday.The only down side and not to be to picky. If you pay for a Full Sea view room hopefully you wont get allocated a ground floor room like we did. If so expect to only see the sea after looking passed the Sun beds on a grassed area, Sunbathers and fence. Not good really. I believe all other floors views would be stunning. I guess we were just unlucky. The staff did allocate us another room on the day but this only had side sea view. The room was great but with a small balcony which was half taken up with an Air Con unit.On saying that all rooms are very clean of the highest quality.The only other little moan is although the food quality is excellent I have had better fresh fruit choices at lesser Hotels.If it was not for the room problem I could not fault this Hotel.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. We were there for ten days and had no complaints whatsoever. Natalie and Paulo on Reception were very helpful as was the rest of the staff. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable (Room 522). We were there on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was very good.

Hotel location is excellent right next to the beach, staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and cleaned every day by a wonderful lady called Maria. Some minor repairs could have been done in some areas but overall it was very good.

Hotel clean friendly excellent staff (from housekeeping staff to restaurant manager), clean rooms excellent food, 5 mins walk from the busy strip, plenty of trips to go on, a beautiful beach to walk along.

Hotel was stunning in all respects. Only advice would be to take own teabags if important to you to have a drink as none given after complimentary pack on arrival. Charge three euro thereafter to replenish.

Lovely hotel and just on the edge of "the strip" so no disturbance from other tourists. Our room was slightly dated not yet been updated but I understand the majority of the rooms have been but that didn't bother us it was clean and that's all we were concerned about. The gardens are lovely and there were plenty of sun beds around but the usual practise of putting towels out was going on although there were signs saying they would be removed. The breakfast were plentiful but as all the other reviews indicate the food was hardly warm, I don't think they would pass health and safety checks in the uk because of the temperature but there was cereal and fruit available also. We ate around the pool a couple of times at lunchtime and the food then was lovely and also hot! The beach is lovely directly outside the hotel, there are quite a few steps down to it and I have bad knees and I managed to get up and down them most days so don't let that put you off. The best place to eat we found was right at the other end of "the strip" at Taffys - lovely food and great service at a reasonable price.

Great hotel. Immaculately clean and superior rooms very well done and stylish. Plenty of space. Excellent bathroom with modern fittings and bidet. Comfortable bed and soft pillows. Plenty of English tv channels. Breakfast great until 10.30. Reasonably priced snack menu. Very well positioned in resort. Good WiFi throughout hotel.
