Algarve Casino Hotel

A well appointed Hotel in a good location. The staff were not a happy bunch of souls & didn’t seem to know much about the location, and in particular, what was happening around the Hotel. A reasonable location, good facilities and a decent breakfast. Very little to promote what was going on in the Hotel. If you asked the staff anything, it always seemed too much trouble. Even when we checked out & asked for the room invoice, I had to insist that they print it for me to check, as they said they could see it on the computer screen… but could not !

Lovely hotel, beautiful outlook over the beach. Staff lovely, friendly and very helpful. Hotel in an excellent position. Rooms clean and a nice size and beds very comfortable. Hotel lobby/lounge very nice, plenty of seating and peaceful. Lovely pool and plenty of sun beds as is the beach. Complimentary beach/swim towels so no need to pack these. Breakfast plentiful and lots of different options to choose from and can also order eggs cooked anyway you like. Would love to return soon

Me and the wife have stay at this hotel once a year for the last 7 years, our stays are always for 10 nights, we had concerns that returning in June for the first time since Covid would things be different, we need not have worried, everything was as good as before, the staff as helpful as ever, the rooms are a little dated but clean and fine in size, location is spot on, and as for the view (sea view) second to none, we will be returning again next year to the place we call our second home.

My wife and I have been to this hotel on 3 previous occasions and again it didn't disappoint. In a superb location the hotel has excellent facilities and provides quality customer service and cuisine, particularly at breakfast.

NOT 5* which is what we paid for. Old and in need of a massive re-fit, unfriendly staff, health and safety concerns, poor Wifi, breakfast was poor and cold with not freshly cooked option, dirty sun loungers which were very uncomfortable, parasols were broken and torn and could not always be adjusted. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

The hotel is definitely not 5 star. Our first room was on the ground floor, nice and large but with one small air con unit at floor level, at the far end from the bed and next to the window. Absolutely inadequate in temperatures well over 30. We asked to move which was fine, then on the 5th floor but still not sufficient to keep the room cool. No tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, queues for breakfasts with tables so close together you might as well have sat together. Cleaning was done frequently at nearly 5pm and took about 5 minutes, so not good. Overall not happy.

We have just come back from a week at the Algarve Casino, what a lovely hotel, perfect location right on the beach but just a few steps from shops bars and restaurants, the staff are so friendly helpful and attentive nothing is too much trouble, Lewis who runs the bar is a star lovely late morning coffee, Ana and her team are fabulous in the restaurant. Breakfast is lovely great variety and they will happily cook any sort of eggs for you too, hot buffet breakfast was lovely , plenty of variety with fresh fruit and pastries . We stayed on a half board basis the evening three course meal is always lovely great choice perfectly cooked, we were really well looked after drinks at the restaurant are reasonably priced as they are at the bar. The room was lovely and spavious we had a sea view with a balcony I would defiantly recommend this theviews are stunning, lovely big comfortable beds, the roves in the room were a nice touch. Everywhere was very clean and well kept, the pool area is lovely a big plenty if space with ample sun beds and umbrellas, pool towels are free of charge and when you go to get them say Hello to Laura the parrot the poolside bar is great for an afternoon cup f tea or a full meal all lovely. There are steps down to the beach along the edge of the beach there is a decked path that goes all the way to the marina to the left or into town if you go right, the beach is amazing , clean and wide it's a perfect place for a morning walk after the huge breakfast or an evening stroll. It's a lovely place very chilled but with excellent service there are lots of beachside restaurants and bars as you get to the bottom of the stairs go right and the beach bar you come to first sells amazing fresh orange and their salads are amazing. If you want to be near everything but also want a chilled atmosphere with great service fabulous food and a relaxing holiday you won't be disappointed.

Stayed hear in September 2016 rooms very spacious and very clean the staff were excellent they were very helpful. Had a sea view room with balcony Food was great also quick service in bars went to casino for the first time great experience Step out off hotel and there are loads of shops and bars.Great beach for walk .Definatly go back to this hotel.

great hotel very friendly and helpful staff could not fault the quality of the food and service and the cleanliness of the hotel its self as well as the rooms the pool area was out of this world and the view of the beach was breath taking

Our hotel was very clean, room spacious, pleasant and friendly staff. Our seaview room was brilliant. Some people without seaviews mostly said they they were sorry that they hadn't paid a supplement to do so. Breakfasts catered for everyone. A great selection of fresh fruits, juices, cold meats & cheese, salads, yoghurts, breads and pastry, as well as the choice hit food. The first hotel that manages to provide scrambled eggs without them being a solid mass. My favourite included smoked salmon with scrambled egg. We even met a gentleman who had to have gluten free bread as a result of a health problem, the hotel ensured that they looked after him dietary wise.

We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist , we were then shown to our room by the most jolly helpful bell boy ever ! ( ARTHUR ) we had a lovely spacious room ( 844 ) very clean , fantastic sea view large private balcony . Breakfast is buffet style ( plenty of choice ) beautiful gardens and a large heated sea water pool ,plenty of sun loungers ( take your own beach towels as some times they run out )

Was really looking forward to visiting this hotel but a bit disappointed at the decor very dated and old fashioned. Wasn't a five star no coffee making facilities paid for a sea view and got it but also a view of a roof and air conditioning ducts. Pool area good and plenty loungers and umbrellas.

First class hotel five star service waiter service for meals very friendly and helpful would return nice clean room close to beach but lots of stairs to get there the pool is very nice and quiet separate children's area with pool and swings

Traditional hotel excellent service, comfortable rooms lovely views of the beach, plenty of staff, good selection of food at breakfast. Pool area kept clean and plenty of sun beds some of the parasol were damaged and needy replacing

Excellent location, accommodation, pool etc very clean. Staff lovely. Would rate more as a very good 3 or 4 star hotel. We've stayed at 5 star hotels and the have been in a different class. However saying that would go back to this hotel. Probably a 5-star due to Casino.
