Had a wonderful holiday! I've stayed before at Whala!Tenerife previously (last year when it was Marola Portosin) and it didn't disappoint when I returned this year. The studio room is a big space, clean and fresh, with everything you need in terms of kitchen facilities for self catering, and a lovely big balcony. The pool area is pretty and well kept, and the pool itself has lovely warm water and is nice and quiet at the times I was going down for a swim (5:30-6pm each night). The bar and pool closed at 7, but that means that if you want to relax on your balcony on an evening it's very peaceful. The hotel is in an ideal location for me, not in the middle of the nightlife/resorts but within a ten minute walk to the beach, nice restaurants, shops, and also close to a couple of big supermarkets that are useful when you're self catering. In the other direction it is a short walk to Montana Chayofita which has the best view of the area from the top. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and there is somewhere to store luggage upon arrival if the room is not ready, and after checkout. I had a late flight and there was somewhere I could shower and change after a final day on the beach before going back to the airport. Will definitely be booking again next year.

Great location, rooms very basic, require upgrading, and AC should be a must. We hired a portable unit, which sort of worked. Everthing unfortunately at this hotel, being quite reasonable on the outset, you pay extra for. Overall basic but workable.

We’ve been here numerous times now and will continue to return, hotel is in a fab location 5mins from the best beach in the area, all the staff a so friendly especially the reception staff, pool are is lovely and the rooms have all you need perhaps could do with a little modernising but this isn’t an issue for us.

Nice hotel in a great location. Very clean. Covid safe. One huge negative is not enough sun beds by the pool. There is a stampede at 10am each morning to reserve loungers. Some of the guests fail to return to their beds until early afternoon. Despite the reserving of beds being against the hotel policy, the staff don’t take any act to stop this happening regularly. We won’t return because of this which is a shame.

Was quite a walk to the beach and shops. When we booked the hotel we thought it was nearer the beach. Hotel was very good. Clean and friendly. Disappointing the bar closes at 8pm. But there was a bar next door and the drinks were very cheap!

After reading glowing reviews we were looking forward to staying at this hotel. We weren't disappointed with our room, which was well-equipped, spacious and clean. Also, there were plenty of sunloungers around the 2 pools. However, the hotel allows large groups of males who during the day and early eveninv, get drunk leading to some of them becoming very loud, using foul language and at times aggressive behaviour around the pool. This is a family hotel and as such should discourage such behaviour. So unfortunately we won't be returning to this hotel.

We had a great holiday to Tenerife went with son, dalughter in law, granddaughter and in laws. Stayed at Marola Portisin which was in a great location close to beach and good selection of bars and restaurants. Apartmerns were clean and well equipt with all you could need for a good holiday. Pool area was good with a fenced off baby pool. Snack bar had a good selection at reasonable prices. Bar with the happy hour was very very good !!!

I returned to the Marola Portosin as i had thoroughly enjoyed our previous visit.The hotel is really well located between Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos a good 5 minute walk from the beach.The hotel does not look great from the outside but is like an oasis upon entering,a beautiful lobby and reception leading outside to a good sized pool with enough sunbeds and an inviting bar area.We stayed in a one bedroom apartment again which was of a good size,clean and a lovely pool view,the bedroom had twin beds,an additional flat screen tv,a good amount of wardrobe space and an electronic safe which can be hired for 15 euros with a 10 euro deposit which you get back on return of the key.A new feature was ceiling fans in the lounge and bedroom as there is no air conditioning,the letdown was the bedroom fan was fixed over the light so when both were on it was like a strobe light and could not be used.The cleaners do a great job every day, towels are replaced upon request and bedding changed twice a week or more if requested.The hotel is located 50 yards from a bus stop with buses going to all parts of the island.A large amount of well priced restaurants and bars are within an easy walking distance,there is also a really good supermarket located only a 2 minute walk away.

Rooms are good and clean.Only downside is the heat.There is a ceiling fan but in wrong location to help when sleeping so would advise renting a fan.Poolside bar is really good. Tommy is a joker but really friendly as well.Happy hour is 4-5 where the drinks are buy one get one free. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk from the bars and restaurants which is ok going out but may need taxi back which is around 4 euros. Would recommend this hotel and will visit again.

the apartment are very big, especially the one bedroom ones, hotel very clean, maid service is very good, prices at the pool bar are very good, food is good, beds are comfy although the pillows are a bit hard, great location, stricked no nonsense approach to behaviour etc, very quiet at night, no towels on the beds before 9am, just a great place to stay

Very clean and the staff were very helpful. The bar staff was also very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Can't wait to book again for next year. Quiet area and away from the hustle and bustle but only a short 15 minute walk should you wish to have a lively night.
