HG Tenerife Sur & Cristian Sur Apartments

Was here from 13th December for 2 weeks 2024 Tommy was great beds large and very comfortable. The room had everything that was needed. House keeping in every day. Pool area was very clean . No problem getting sun beds. The little shop was ok but better of going to a larger one . The staff in the bar were amazing and so friendly. Reception all good . Used to shower room as was leaving late in the day clean but very old. Over all very happy and will use the hotel again.

It’s a decent hotel & the rooms are fairly basic but fine & they were cleaned daily, strangely the only mirror is in the bathroom, there’s no full length mirror or any other mirror in the room, when there really should be. The hotel is about a 10-15 min walk to the town centre & beach & about a 30-40 minute walk to the shops, bars & restaurants in Playa de las Americas. As usual people are a nightmare with putting towels on sunbeds very early in the morning, there’s a sign up to say that towels would be removed, this did not happen & as a result loads of beds were reserved yet no one turned up to use them until way after lunchtime or not at all, which is pretty ridiculous. Staff should remove the towels when they’re unoccupied for hours because many of us ended sat on the floor around the pool or just went elsewhere for the day. There should be more info in the rooms about the area surrounding the hotel ie shops, buses, trips & hotel restaurant etc as we missed things & didn’t find this info until we spoke with the rep a few days into the holiday. I would still recommend this hotel if you’re on a budget & don’t mind the walk or getting taxis but they’ve got to act upon the towels & sunbed issue because it really is frustrating.

Beautiful location and hotel we had stayed in before...but this time we were put in a studio opposite staff ? break room. This proved very noisy between 7-9am. Shouting, laughing and banging...this ruined our peace in morning and we do not have young children so enjoy a little sleep when away from work and on holiday. Also towels were on most loungers from 8am!!! But pool mainly empty til afternoon...notice said staff will remove these towels, but never did. We will not return.

We spent a week here at the end of February. We were a little worried reading some reviews but completely unfounded. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off. ‘Fault-finders’ will always criticise and complain about trivial issues. It was a perfect holiday for us. Great facilities, very clean, spacious and well equipped rooms. Air conditioning very welcome. Regular maid service and towel change. Beds so comfortable and pillows I wanted to take home. Pool and pool area really clean and lovely. Evening entertainment with a live singer. 10 minute walk to main bus terminal and shops. 10 minute walk to beach. There is a sign advising not to reserve sunbeds but by 7am every sun bed had a towel on it. Happily though, there is also the advice that the resident lifeguard will remove towels from unoccupied sunbeds so we always got a spot. Just need to ask. Staff lovely, friendly and helpful. Small shop on site stocking all the essentials. Very quiet at night. 2 minute walk to a lovely Chinese restaurant, bars and ATM. Highly recommend a supermarket opposite the complex where you can buy freshly baked filled baguettes, sausage rolls, pies etc and fresh bakery products. Great for lunch. Also a 5 minute walk to Harriet’s restaurant. Food amazing. Staff so friendly. Freshly cooked breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and dinners to suit UK palate. Will definitely be back to this complex next year. Usual Jet 2 quality holiday which has never not let us down.

The rooms were standard but clean and tidy . Our friends room was subjected to a thief who stole a expensive perfume . The hotel management where very poor in the way they handled it and it was not handled properly at all , it is one of those holidays whereby you have to make sure you check everything that you take on holiday is still in its place where you put it not very pleased with the overall outcome Oral Blanco apartments

The tenerife sur is an open air type of apartment complex. The apartments are arranged around a swimming pool.The design and appearance are a bit dated but it is well maintained and clean. The pool area is not that large and fills up quickly but the zealous pool guard ensures that claimed sunbeds are cleared of towels if he suspects you are not using them. There is a small poolside bar and a small restaurant/bar. The reason we chose Tenerife sur is we were travelling with our 17 year old and wanted a separate bedroom. The small apartment styles rooms were ideal and offer a seperate bedroom and a bed settee in the lounge area. The rooms are a bit sparse and dated but clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning but this is common across all Tenerife. We opted for the bed and breakfast option ,Don't bother, they are not that good even though they are buffet style and there are plenty of alternatives in the local area. Another minor gripe is the distance to the beach claimed to be about 500M,thats as the crow flies, its about a 25 minute walk. And uphill on the way back. Generally we were happy and had a good time here.and there a good restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff are also all good English speakers and very friendly and helpful..

Been going here for 23years and love it , location is perfect as they are plenty bars and restaurants around it , lovely pool area and the cafe on site is excellent wether it be for breakfast lunch or dinner

Modern, well maintained apartments in pleasant garden setting with pool well positioned to attract maximum sun. Bright, spacious reception and dining areas. Adequate breakfast, if a little unimaginative. Iron hard mattress in bedroom detracted from the experience and not enough bedding (undersized sheets & no blankets). Helpful, friendly staff.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Tenerife sur is a great base point, however that is about it. The sun bed situation that many people have complained about is actually genius!! No 4am get ups to reserve beds. It works really well. People have complained that everyone stands in silence and it’s miserable?!? Try talking! The pool requires some TLC, I’m quite certain this is in the cards for the near future! Be aware there is no entertainment at all, no kids clubs and NO MUSIC! This isn’t ideal if you are travelling with children! Didn’t try the food on site so can’t judge that! The fans in the rooms are pointless, if you struggle with heat this isn’t the hotel for you! The showers in the rooms are powerful, but are scolding at the same time! The maids did an ok job, we didn’t expect much from them though. No robberies during our stay, and felt very secure. The reception and bar staff are really friendly and very helpful. WiFi does come at a charge, which wasn’t too bad if you wanted peace from your teenagers! It is however hit and miss. To be expected really. Onsite shop is fab! Pools were cleaned and any issues in the day would be resolved promptly. If you want a nice quiet stay this hotel is probably ideal for you. If you go with young children don’t expect to be able to rest in peace!

We had a great time at the apartments and Los Cristianos. This is our 7th year and we always enjoy. The staff at the hotel are really friendly. Nothing is ever to much trouble. Restaurant does a great buffet breakfast and very reasonably priced.

Great location. Linen and pillows need to be looked at . Reception staff need some customer care training. Great holiday but a few things need attention food was good with the on site restraunt. Very noisy from entertainment over the road most nights

After staying in the Adeje/Fanabe area for the last few years we decided to try los cristianos our party consisted of 4 adults and 1 child we booked the Cristian sur as they offered 2 bedrooms and bathrooms apartment after checking in we were charged 47€ for television remote and safe for 9 nights. On locating our apartment we had to carry our cases up 3 flights of stairs and across numerous walkways we entered our apartment to find upstairs bedroom was entered by using a narrow steep spiral staircase which you couldn't get your suitcase up meaning you had to empty your case and carry everything up the dreaded spiral staircase which is totally unsuitable for children and the elderly. The bannister around veranda is in a sorry state and very wobbly. Hot water supply for 5 showers is impossible as hot water runs out in 10-15 minutes with water pressure to upstairs bedroom really poor, upstairs shower tray really small with shower curtain meaning bathroom flooded after your 3 minutes allocation of hot water . Apart from that they are well maintained but could be doing with a refurbish
