Sol Nessebar Palace

Booked this hotel and then realised it was partly in the school half term but have to say was pleasantly surprised by the layout of the hotel site. In the middle of the three hotel complex. The grounds surrounding the three hotels on the site are lovely and although it should have seemed crowded with the clever use of the outside areas this wasn’t the case, each hotel had its separate swimming pool area with plenty of sun beds and designate areas for the very young swimmers. Water slides and water activities were also available in one of the hotels. Lots for children to do. The food in the Palace was really good, plentiful and a good choice of mains, salads and puds with heaps of fresh fruit, bigger choice of vegetables and cheeses would have been nice. Throughly enjoyed all my meals experience only marred by the greed and wastefulness of some guests, totally uncalled for as the food was replenished continuously. Food could also be found all day through the three hotels each one have their own specialty, drinks either self dispensed or over the bar throughout the day. Ice cream cornets could be found on the path to the beach. The all inclusive drinks are not brilliant it appears that they are premixed, the local beer was good though. Hot drinks machines are throughout the hotel including the room floors. The rooms are very comfy, well laid out with two singles beds making up a 8 foot bed. They were kept lovely and clean and water was replenished daily. Local buses go to the old and new town of Nessebar and sunny beach or it is walkable to Nessebar and there are lovely walks along the beach to the nearby areas. All in all we had a great time, yes I would go back but maybe not in school holidays as we travel without little ones.

The hotel itself was lovely, the area not so good. Nowhere to walk to unless very fit. Also extremely dark at night. Unfortunately we went on a two week holiday, one of which was school holidays and this was a disaster kids running wild everywhere with no supervision the dinning room was dangerous with kids running around with hot food and spillage not cleaned up. The hotel staff on the whole really surly, no wonder. The hotel facilities and rooms very lovely but perhaps we chose the wrong time as very little in the area was open, buses unreliable and taxis expensive.
