Hotel Palace Bonanza Playa

Another year in paradise for all ten of our family ranging in age from 10years to 60years, who visit at least three countries per year. We love the relaxing feeling as soon as we walk through the doors and are warmly welcomed. No one wants to leave and the only mumbles of complaints.....(20+year old daughter in laws) wish water aerobics were twice daily, like last year, as teacher fantastic and 10 year old grandson wish kids club opened longer! Not many hotels would warrant such a review from my family.

The hotel and grounds are stunning. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice and great service, especially Christian the waiter and who personally greeted my 7month old each morning. Our room was kept immaculate by the wonderful cleaners. The bus and taxi links were great with no issues. Only negatives would be that there is little choice of good restaurants on the doorstep, you have to travel really. We loved our visit and would definitely return in the future and recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thanks for a great 1st holiday away.

Hotel location, staff, service, food, room, pool excellent. From arrival being greeted with a glass of cava to our last breakfast at the hotel, we had a lovely relaxing break. The staff are very helpful and responsive - anything I asked for was received within five minutes of making the request - very impressive - only other place experienced this level of service was in Dubai. Didn't want to have to put towels on sun beds but did this because other guests did although not a problem to find a sunbed when needed. Very much hope to return soon.

This was our 4th or 5th visit at this hotel and we are most likely to return The hotel position-the facilities -the friendliness of the staff ( from management to the maid who cleans our room every day ) each one of them makes you feel welcome This hotel is run very efficiently by 2 managers Mr Tolo Mora and Ms Anabel Diaz who seem to work endless hours in every part of the hotel always available to help and enquiring about the customer satisfaction and help if needed They are both an asset to this Hotel We stay in many 4 star hotels and it is not often one can see most of the time a manager checking that things are running well On our first visit we were told by Mr Tolo Mora than good is not good enough it has to be Very good I put him to the test and must admit they are succeeding and they seem to work perfectly as a team . Resort is very quiet...but great! Perfect for us. Hotel was great. Food fab! All rooms have a wonderful sea view at no extra cost...perfect! Pool restaurant was great and really not expensive. Sunbed issue as with most hotels in high season...just got up at 7.00 each morning and put the towels out! Bit of a pain but tell me where that doesn't happen if you want prime position around the pool to watch your 9 year old play! Staff in the hotel very helpful and very friendly...even the cleaning staff. The beach is great (walk out of the hotel and turn left...10 mins down the hill). Fab Beach restaurant and bar. Lovely little beach shops for Kaftans etc (not cheap but lovely). Only downside to the hotel was the entertainment. Would have been good if the kids entertainment was a bit better or if there were more kids watersports/group snorkling lessons etc. Boules? Even kids gym sessions...9-14 year olds? Maybe the hotel doesn't want to encourage this but it would have been a break for us if there had been more for children. Would I go again to this hotel...Yes...for sure at some point in the future!

We stayed last year and were delighted to return again. I cannot fault the hotel, it is excellent value for money. The service is first class in every respect. The lobby area and the buffet restaurant were refurbished and modernised over the winter, which has improved the look and feel of the hotel. There are no fixed sittings for dinner, which is a massive improvement, so the buffet dining experience is much more relaxed. There is also the option to dine in the Krystal restaurant as an alternative, for one evening, but suggest booking a day in advance, because it is popular. Our room was a good size, modern, light, and airy. Everything worked really well, tv, aircon, shower etc. Drinks are very reasonably priced in the bars. The in-room safe is 3 euro a day, but well worth it. The swimming pools are very good, adult pool great if you want to just swim lengths. We always managed to get towels, sun beds and a parasol, no matter what time we went down to the pool. Apologies if you already know about the Eco tax in Spain, but it is another 2.2 euro pppn inc VAT, payable at checkout. Thanks again to all the staff at the Bonanza Playa for a great holiday.

We stayed at the Riu Bonanza Palace Illetas Majorca in July 2016. The location overlooking Palma bay is fantastic and we had a great room on the 5th floor. I would try and get a room no lower than the 5th as the view is best the higher you go up. So great location good room but a couple of things that were no so great! The staff on the whole were fine with a few in the dining room a little unhelpful and quite frosty. Top tip check your bar bill when you get served as in the first three days ours was over charged each time. The food (we were half board) was average so would recommend b&b and eat out. So in summary great location service ok but could be better and food the same. Note to the Hotel Mgr once a guest does put in a complaint about over charging at least maybe take the time to speak to the guest to see what was wrong. We had a great holiday though and I am wanting to be constructive.

Nice hotel, nice room and good food and good position. Friendly staff and good bus service to Palma. Not much information on places to visit in hotel and when we hired a car they were not very helpful on parking. Inside hotel was a bit expensive for coffee, wine etc.,
