Hotel MS Amaragua

Beautiful Hotel, Great Rooms, spotlessly clean, a lovely gardens and Pool Areas. Staff were very pleasant and mostly helpful. Check in poor, as queues every day to check in, and only one member of staff ever on the desk checking guests in. Food was not good at all. It was typically Spanish, and the majority of the guests were Spanish. No other U.K. Tour Operator uses this hotel. Difficult to find anything remotely European on the buffet, and the majority of the food was lukewarm. When we did find something to eat, we used the microwave to heat it through, but it was never appetising, and we mostly left the food. Would not recommend this Hotel for U.K. Guests.

first impressions of the hotel were very good on arrival,with a smooth check-in and impressive foyer,everywhere was clean with plenty of comfortable seating in the public areas a nice bar with a pianist in the evening.The room had a side seaview which faced east so not much sun on the balcony, furnishings a bit dated.tv in room had most of the freeview channels,room cleaned daily and linen changed regularly by friendly and efficient staff.Restaraunt food good with a good choice of dishes.Outside areas with comfortable seating but found it difficult to get served drinks with a sometimes lack of staff,maybe due to it being christmas,overall a nice hotel.

Nothing wrong with hotel, spotlessly clean, pleasant enough staff, decent sized rooms, well kept pool area & great location but decor could do with an update. Breakfast was ok but we've had better. Not a great choice of cooked dishes, bacon wasn't very nice! I found pillows particularly uncomfortable & was told (when I asked for a change) they were the only ones they had, but was given another one.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the past few years and it is in a fantastic location it's immaculate... we go on a b & b basis but the breakfast is very basic not very hot and one of the egg chefs has no personality !! But everyone else is amazing ... so if you want a clean well located base and like eating out this is the place for you 😊

Hotel nice ,booking in slow ,when we got to room it was occupied by old Spanish couple,so we were given another room an an apology with a bottle of plonk thrown in OK.Food poor they seemed to cater for Germans and other Europians.bacon burnt most of the time, eggs good if chef was there to cook them only one chef at breakfast nice guy but couldn't serve everybody ,need more staff, same at evening meal food mislabeled ,meat not cooked enough. All in a nice hotel but food rubbish. Safe 2.75euros a night a bit steep for my liking.

Beautiful hotel, and lovely hotel staff who are always helpful when we stayed with them. Lovely variety of foods for breakfast which made life easier with a toddler. Spacious bedrooms and lovely see view room. Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel. Great location

Rooms are a little tired and in need of up dating, however they were clean and rooms were kept clean for the duration of our holiday. We were in 2 rooms but it would have been good to have been put next to each other, but we were on the same floor. The food was ok but nothing special, the foor was quiet repetitive, best food was the sushi. The pool area was clean and tidy and plenty of parasols. The hotel was a little on the outskirts and we found it quite difficult to find a nice place on an evening to get drinks and have a quiet sit. We didn't hear once from the rep, however this probably wasn't the hotel's fault. Not sure I would return to this particular hotel or that part of the resort, I think maybe more central and there might be more to do on a evening,

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. In between Torremolinos and BENALMADENA. Lots of different nationalities in the hotel. Entertainment was mainly a pianist and one night flamenco dancers. There isn't many places you can go nearby if you want entertained. A few eating places nearby. There is a spa and indoor swimming pool. While we were there was a few conferences held there. Overall a lovely hotel clean and with pleasant staff

Excellent hotel, food great with lots of choices comfortable room and lovely gardens, looking right out to see and straight out of garden gate to boardwalk and very good wi fi. Some of the reviews said rooms were very dated, ours was excellent, staff especially the maids and in the restaurant went out of their way to make us welcome. We nearly did not book this due to previous reviews, I am so glad we took a chance, we would definitely go again.

Location is what makes this hotel, it is on the beach. Good pool and garden area with plenty of sunbeds. If eating out which we did every night there were countless great restaurants near by. We were B&B and the self service breakfast choice was good. There was entertainment at night which was mediocre and I could not understand why the band, or whatever was on, were set-up so far from where everyone was sitting. Overall enjoyed our week.

Brilliant holiday, fantastic location, love this place will definitely be back, only downfall with the hotel was cleaners starting too early and banging. Next time I will book a room with sea view and higher up

Been to this hotel 3 times now and love the hotel. Restaurant recently refurbished, much brighter. Location is excellent, great beach bars selling local fish, great choice of restaurants,hotel right on the beach, very safe for small children along the 2 mile or so beach front walkway. A very Spanish resort without the Britts abroad type of bars.

We liked this hotel and are booked to return next year The staff are pleasant and very helpful and the standard of cleanliness is excellent too. It is well situated next to La Carihuela and lots restaurants if you feel like dining out

Hotel Amaragua Torremolinos Spain Stayed at this hotel as a couple for one week in June this year. This was our second stay in the Amaragua having stayed here in September last year. This stay was not like the first possibly as Spain is much busier this year than it has been in recent years and the hotel was very busy. The Sentido brochure in the room quotes “on arrival at a Sentido Hotel and Resort you are greeted with a smile, a refreshing towel and a welcome drink”. Maybe not at the Amaragua ! Here the reception staff do not smile often and you are not offered a welcome drink !!! There was a drink offered one evening before dinner but definitely not one on arrival (neither this time or last). The hotel has also stopped providing a beach towel in your room and now charges 10 euros each to hire one with a further euro to change it for a clean one if necessary. This stay we never actually managed to lie on a sun lounger in the hotel and had to pay 10 Euros per day to lie on the section of beach assigned to the hotel and staffed by a hotel representative. I have no objection to going to the beach but I really think it would be fairer to offer at least some discount to hotel guests. After all if you are on the beach you are excluded from the hotel activities as no-one comes to the beach to ask if you would like to take part or let you know they are going to happen. There is also a drinks price list on the parasol but no instruction about how to purchase a drink on the beach and this service was never offered. It is notable that there is much wasted space around the hotel pool and grass area that could accommodate more sun loungers, not all loungers must have a parasol if this is the reason behind the wasted space. The hotel offers a decent breakfast with enough choice for there always to be something to please. I like fruit with my breakfast and found the choice of fruit a bit repetitive and limited. Some mornings at the time we arrived at the dining room it was busy and the hotel were operating a queueing system where by you waited at the bottom of the stairs until a table became available and then you were taken as a couple or as a group to the available table. I thought this was an excellent idea as you were never wandering around looking for somewhere to sit. We stayed on a half board basis and most evenings dinner was acceptable. One or two nights I struggled to fill my plate but there was always something I could eat

Excellent Hotel immaculately clean. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and eager to please. Pool area spotless, esplanade and beach right outside hotel. Entertainment on most evenings including Flamenco.Numerous restaurants within 5 minutes walk all superb and local shops. You can even ask for a mattress topper if normal mattress too hard I have never found this service offered elsewhere. When I needed an emergency dentist the hotel receptionist phoned and got me as appointment within the hour.

One of the best hotels with excellent service ,excellent food good view of the sea. The rooms are light and airy with air con. Free wifi in the rooms was good only down bit only news channels in english
