Best Pueblo Indalo

Such a pity as I really wanted to like this hotel but the management /staff attitudes to British guests is very hard to take. The location is really beautiful and certain things about the hotel are really good; pool area has been really well done, splash park for kids is amazing and the scenery from sitting at the main pool with the mountains in the background etc. However the hotel just lets everything down by discriminating against British (and especially All Inclusive) guests. For example you cannot get your drink in a glass, only paper or plastic cups, whilst non-all inclusive / non brits are sitting next to you with a glass of wine or whatever. If you check in late at night after All Inclusive has finished, you can't even get a bottle of water for your room to get you through till morning, never mind a quick snack. The restaurant is noisy and overcrowded with Spanish students who seem to arrive in great numbers, and the food is not to the standard normally found in a large hotel. Also the times of dinner (20:30) and mini disco (21:30) are very late for what we are used to with young children. Finally, although the hotel shop sells kids inflatable toys, you are not allowed them in the pool, and the pool bullies, sorry, security will soon be over giving your bewildered little one a telling off if you make the mistake of letting them enter the water with their newly purchased toy. More concerning in the days of heightened awareness of the dangers of skin cancer, was when young kids were being told off for wearing a t shirt in the pool. So overall, lots to like.......but even more to drive you crazy.

Had a lovely holiday here with the family. There was 5 adults and 4 children ages 3, 9, 10 & 13. The rooms were clean and tidy, fresh bedding and towels daily. 4 amazing pools which we all enjoyed. The entertainment is mainly Spanish but the entertainment staff try there best to do as much in English as they can so everyone feels involved. Almeria itself is a lovely place with the hotel right on the beach doorstep. Some fab restaurants, although they can be a bit expensive and close for siesta so evening food isn't served until 7:30pm. It took us a couple of days to get into a new meal regime with little one's. My only complaint for the hotel is that the facilities within the apartment for self catering isn't enough. We had two hobs and a microwave which made cooking for ourselves with fussy children hard work.

We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday at this hotel. This was our third visit here but unfortunately we will not return. The gardens and apartments are fabulous and beautiful pool areas. Where this falls down is the disastrous meal times. Families queue to enter and it's like free for all. The children seem to start screaming the second they enter the dining area, there was food being thrown about by the children and most parents seemed to ignore this. Meal times were a shambles,. We paid for an all inclusive but were forced to eat elsewhere due to the appalling dining experience. Because we were all inclusive, we were served drinks in plastic cups whilst people who were self catering or half board were served in glasses. My husband ordered me a cocktail which was served in a plastic cup while the very drunk lady next to me received hers in a beautiful cocktail glass which she knocked over and smashed!. Despite complaining we were both in our sixties and unlikely to be throwing glasses about, we were advised drinks were served in plastic cups to all of the inclusive customers, they seem to have forgotten we paid more for the all inclusive option. In a time when the world is so concerned with plastic in our oceans it's time for Best Pueblo Indalo to scrap the plastic tumblers. Also all inclusive customers have to queue up for drinks whilst others get table service. We felt like the poor cousins and WILL NOT RETURN HERE.

Weve just arrived home after a week at this hotel and can honestly say its brilliant! The childrens splash park is out of the world.. just amazing! We spent everyday up there! The all inclusive bit needs work as there are lots of limitations that I wouldn't of expected.. but the food quality was good (not a vast amount of choice) but all cooked fresh in front of you. The staff are friendly (limited English understanding... but hey you are in Spain!) And the place is immaculately clean. I would definitely recommend for families with younger children!

had the best week here on the 20th of may this year everybody was so friendly and helpful the staff worked none stop around the clock maintaining the hotel it was perfect. can't comment on the food as I was self catering but everything was on your doorstep that you needed cafes,restaurants, shops,beach literally straight outside the hotel. will deffinatly be back next year.

Fantastic hotel the location is perfect in the middle of shops,restaurants and bars . Right across from the lovely beach the pool/garden area is lovely and clean ! Rooms are clean modern and spacious. Recommend the new curry house for an Indian was beautiful and friendly staff ! Also recommend going mojacar pueblo lovely little traditional village in the mountain all round fantastic holiday and hopefully will be returning next year !

Large hotel with lots of green space to relax on, great location right in the centre of the shops and restaurants,good around the pool area with plenty of loungers, overall a very pleasant stay.we stayed self catering which we prefared although kettle and toaster not in the room, recently refurbished spacious and clean.We had a top floor apartment but the climb up all the ramps and then the stairs was somewhat tirying.

Loved the food, go early for dinner and breakfast as it does get rather hectic. .lots of Spanish but this didn't bother us. Didn't go round the pools, but they looked good..too noisy for us, geared up for families, spanish families..evening entertainment all in spanish, didn't bother us as we went out. Great location, right on the beach...overall we as 3 adults enjoyed our holiday.

Lovely top floor apartment overlooking the top pool The complex was right next to the sea which was fantastic. We did not eat at the resort but every restaurant we went to in the vicinity was excellent and good value.
