Astoria Hotel Malcesine

Jet 2 moved us to this hotel, because the hotel we booked originally was not ready to open. it was the best thing they ever did. Hotel was great, staff great, food great. Very clean. Will be going again.

Lovely little family run hotel. It could easily be a 4* with a little updating. The room was basic. No tea or coffee making facilities so need to bring your own and a 3 pin adapter Although did have air con which was a blessing. Also a safe and fridge in the room for extra. . We stayed half-board,food was plentiful and nice. It a was buffet breakfast with everything you'd expect, evening meal was 3 courses 4 if you include the salad they encouraged you to help yourself to to start with. You had a choice of 3/4 options for each starter,main and dessert and were ordered on the evening before. We stayed at the front of the hotel in room 404. Beautiful view if the lake and sun in afternoon on the balcony. Rooms to the rear overlook the pool and gardens. The only downside was the busy main road and traffic noise but generally eased around midnight. Very quiet and relaxing holiday. Lovely shop and restaurant nearby. Also tourist bus and local bus stop right outside which we used a fair bit as very cheap. The staff were friendly and helpful also

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Great views of lake Garda and very relaxing holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would say to achieve 5 stars there would need to be some evening entertainment as the hotel is situated out of town.

Having been to this hotel about 20 times now surely speaks for itself. the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent, the rooms are kept very clean and the surroundings and local amenities are superb.

This is a family run hotel which was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The downside for us was that it was a 6 minute bus journey to Malcesine. If you are looking for water sports or just to lounge by the lake or the pool then this is ideal.

I have just came back with my husband from 2 week at the Astoria Hotel. We had a great time. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room was clean . The food was good and good choices. The location is great. Buses stop outside the hotel door. We are going back next year, would highly recommend.

In favour - good food; good location; good pool and garden area Against - no fridge in room; tiny room safe; wi-fi only present 2 days out of 7. Pleasant safe path to walk to Malcesine in 45-50 minutes; tourist bus (1 euro pp) takes 5-10 minutes but is often full and then does not stop for passengers at the hotel

fab hotel clean great position staff so helpful and cheerful food was very good with excellent variety could not fault it you would struggle to find a better hotel for the money great for couples and family right on the lake with views to die for
