Ardavani Hotel

Amazing Amazing Amazing, loved every minute we were here, the staff especially Angela behind the bar were some of the nicest people we have ever met nothing was too much trouble, the rooms are clean the air con is brilliant and much needed,the views are breathtaking but the hill to get to the beach is brutal if your not relatively fit, the food was lovely although breakfast is a little crowded, but nothing too bad, I hope to go back here again because we miss the hotel but miss the staff more thank you Ardavani we miss you

We stayed at the Ardavani hotel in May and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were exceptional, with Stella, Angela, and Patricia and the rest of the team going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

I can not fault the hotel in anyway,they made mine and my wife's stay exceptional.The staff were all great and made us feel very welcome.The only thing i would say is if you are not to good on your feet you might struggle with the location as it is on a very steep hill,so walking back from local beach is a bit of a climb to say the least,how ever the views are breath taking as is the whole of Kefalonia.

This is an excellent small family hotel with the most friendly staff. Nice rooms from fairly basic to really luxurious contemporary rooms. One downside is that if you struggle walking, the hotel is on a very steep hill

Beautiful hotel. Great bar and excellent service, staff very helpful. New block added to the traditional part of the hotel very nice rooms with lovely balconies. This is a small hotel not far from the beach.

Reading a past review entitled Hidden Gem encouraged me to book the Vrisida or as it will be renamed ARDAVANI Hotel . How lucky was I? To be one of the first in the newly built rooms 1.. Separate toilet Walk in Power shower (like a wet room) A big double bed so comfortable. Room cleaned twice weekly however bins emptied daily. Kettle cups and saucers. Tea coffee needed. Hairdryer supplied. No need for Mosquito adapter as screen to balcony and in toilet sufficient. AC quiet and good. WiFi free and available in all hotel areas 2 .. Pool clean adequate for a swim or a dip with surrounding sunbeds and parasols. Beginning of holiday there was no need to reserve with towels however this did change with new influx of guests. 3. Bar expertly run by Monika (Darling) who does the best Cocktails on the island and also supplies you with crisps and peanuts. .She will keep the bar open till last person standing 4.. Georgia spelling will be wrong so apologies. Runs to Hotel during the day. A lovely lady who you can ask for anything. Any problems just ask her. She works so hard as do the cleaners but always there with a smile. The owners were on hand daily and happy to listen to any comments or feedback from guests. 5.. Breakfast served 8 - 10am Basic OJ , Tea Coffee. Cereal Fruit Cheese and Cold Meats, Toast Butter Jam etc. 6.. Snacks available behind the bar Tuna Salad Toasties. 7.. Location.. Halfway up this steep hill that all will mention. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. This hill is really steep in a couple of areas however does have its easier stretches. Best to be walked in the evening as most restaurants are either up or down. 8. I went to this Hotel with my Kindle. All I wanted to do really was chill relax by a pool, read and talk now and again. I was so lucky to meet some lovely people that were also at the Hotel and I just had one of the best holidays ever.

We booked this holiday 2 days before we went, so a bit of a risk. But, fortunately, this hotel and all the staff were great. They made us welcome as soon as we arrived and fed us even though it wasn't mealtime. We found out later that this was a family run and owned hotel. The owner and his family all used the hotel and were really friendly people. I spent many hours talking to the owner, he is a very friendly and interesting man. As usual, some British guests did nothing but moan about the food at breakfast and the facilities. In response the owner added more choice of food at breakfast, provided Bar Snacks during the day and erected a Flat Screen Plasma TV in the bar area, obviously, all at his own expense. The owner and his family could not have done more. The rooms, although fairly basic, were clean and roomy. I think all the rooms faced the front of the hotel and gave a stunning view of the hillside. Apparently, the owner is building another 12 rooms this winter, and as we are re-booked for May 2017, it will be interesting to see the changes. I hope the intrinsic atmosphere and welcoming aspect of the hotel is not lost The pool is not huge but very nice for cooling down in the heat. The other slight downside is that the hotel is halfway up a very steep hill. We walked down every day, but got a taxi back up at 5 euros a time including a tip, not a big issue. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing time, absolutely ideal.

brilliant hotel/studios very roomy very clean the staff running hotel were very nice genuine people the rep was also very nice will defenetely be going back excellent price lovely breakfast each morning.

There are 12 newly refurbished studios, with smart TV's, airconditioning and big comfy beds. Simple, clean and good for couples. Lourdas is at the foot of a mountain, and the roads out are steep, but the tavernas were all good.
