I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa

We have been to 4 star resorts which far exceed this one we do not believe this hotel deserves a 5 star. The rooms are very compact for 2 people, no space for luggage or anything, no decent lighting or mirrors in rooms, food was good but again nothing spectacular. The worst part of this hotel is the service, bad communication and conduct. Best parts of the hotel are the main pool and bar manager Antonios he was amazing!! but GOD FORBID you put a towel down on a sunbed you've been warned!!!

We were given a room which was newly refurbished , but it had only 3 drawers a tiny w/robe to store clothes. No hooks to hang toiletries in the b/room .Totally useless for 2 weeks holiday. The sink could not hold water because of the design.

At check in, the man at front desk would speak to 1 guest, then abruptly just stop talking to them in mid conversation & turn their attention to another, telling people to go sit down if he didn't want to deal with them there & then. I emailed in advance requesting gluten free options at meal times. I was told this was no problem & could be accommodated for on my arrival. When I told a staff member this on the first morning of my stay, they directed me to the kitchen where a grumpy looking woman eventually got me some gluten free bread. I had requested croissants as I was told there was a variety of options on reply email and this was one of them. She just acted as though she didn't know what I was talking about even though I pointed out ordinary croissants on the buffet to her. She told me 'I'll get you gluten free bread' completely ignoring my request. This happened every morning at breakfast. Luckily there were some non gluten looking foods on the buffet but not much at all for breakfast, only dinner. I had to take risks and eat a few things that may have contained gluten when there wasn't much options, which at times upset my stomach as I have celiac disease. The food was not good most of the time as my partner had said so too (he does not have any gluten intolerance/celiac disease, just me). The waiter we were served by for drinks every night at the hotel restaurant was extremely grumpy & unbothered looking, gave one word requests like 'drink?' and 'Room number?' pretty abruptly. Filled glasses with water only up to a quarter full and I couldn't help but feel this was deliberate as he gave other guests full glasses of water & even smiled at some of the women. We just got a sour look every time he seen us. I think his name was 'Kostas H'. We had to ask for milk to go with the tea and he brought back frothy looking water which turned out to be the remains of what was left in the coffee machine. My partner went up to the bar to explain this to a woman who said nothing at all and slammed a jug of milk down in front of him, then turned away without apology or explanation. We were made to feel very uncomfortable with the exception of the restaurant host who showed us to our table. She was pleasant at all times and I just wish she had been serving our drinks as I'm sure she would have done a better job. When I requested a later check out, woman at reception rolled eyes, sighed & snapped 'so you want later check out?!', put us on list, then later got told no.
