The Royal Blue.

We stayed here on the 27th August for 10 nights. We arrived late however the staff were friendly and helpful. We were taken to our room quickly and had water, biscuits and ouzo left in our room for us. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool areas were great and never too busy so you always had a chance to get a sunbed. I definitely recommend downloading the app for the hotel where you can order food and drinks straight to your sunbed, which was great and very relaxing! You can also book spa treatments, restaurant reservations and room service through the app as well. For a 5 star hotel we expected it to be pricey however €16 euros for a fruit salad was just ridiculous. We decided to eat out for dinner most of the time however the hotel isn’t located anywhere within an easy distance to walk so if you want to venture out you’ll need to get a taxi which isn’t too expensive depending on where you want to go. We visited a restaurant Kastro in Panormo twice which was excellent, great value for money and amazing food and drink! The owner makes you feel so welcome and we were given dessert and Raki on the house! Overall, The Royal Blue is a luxury and relaxing hotel if you plan on not leaving very much. However if you want to venture out it, isn’t very close to anything and it’s very expensive which were the only downsides!

Hotel was advertised as family friendly, Seen a few very young children (2-6 years) around the complex, as for 12*15 year olds virtually non. No other teenage children for daughter Hotel however is superb, lovely grounds, great pool, very big room and balcony (superior family room)Food choices excellent at both breakfast and evening.Only negative was drink prices, 5.5 euro for small beer, 30 euro for bottle of local wine 4.80 for an orange juice. Most questionable was they charged you for water with evening meal (3.80 a bottle). I've never stayed in a hotel where water is charged to you account.Entertainment is well presented, aqua show by the pool is a must see show.Hotel had around 700 guests when we stayed, always sunbeds around the pool. never seen more than 12 in the huge pool. Daughter had the pool to herself some mornings. Nice little private beach, a small amount of pebbles as you enter the sea very safe bay to swim in

7 night stay booked as B&B but automatically upgraded to half board which you need and will not regret as food is buffet all you can eat for breakfast and evening meals. Multiple pools which are great although large pool is salted. Be advised drinks are expensive ... although there is a supermarket near by which seal good priced drinks which we took back to the hotel. Advise to book a car rental as there is not much near by and wwe booked a rental from the hotel for 2 days which in reflection we would have done with jet2.com as would have been cheaper and we would have seen more if we had the car for the entire time. Overall fantastic... but book a car, go half board (you wont need full due to amount o food at breakfast and evening), get drinks from near by supermarket and you wont go far wrong at all.
