Park Plaza Histria Pula

Fabulous organised at the airport,through security and into plane. Staff attentive as usual,good flight arrived ahead of time. Hotel central so everything was in walking distance. Sunshine for the entire weekend,great sights and food. Felt fantastic after the break,want to go again!Holiday very clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was fresh and good selection.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Pula. It's the fourth time we've been to Croatia but the first time to Pula. Really nice hotel, friendly staff and easy to get into the main town. Day trips were easy to organise too with local taxi drivers. On the downside a Jet2 Steward was a little over-zealous on the return leg of the trip. My sister is a very nervous flyer and wanted to keep her headphones on for the descent. One steward wanted everyone to desist from listening to music a good half an hour before we landed. She won't be travelling with Jet2 again and I will be reluctant to due to this 'policy'. Other airlines I've travelled on seem more relaxed about this and we always, unlike some passengers, pay full attention to the safety briefing. So, in short, a big yes for Pula and a reluctant no for Jet 2.

This is a lovely hotel, with mostly helpful staff, however our arrival was spoiled by having to wait for over 2 hours on arrival for our room to be made available. In fairness, it does state that the check in time is 2pm, however, we were not given a time when the room would be available when we arrived just after 10am, we were told the room was being made ready, then left to sit in the hotel reception without even the offer of a welcome drink, it was exceptionally warm and we had to change into lighter clothing in the toilets at the reception. We were then left without any communication from the staff at reception, as a result we approached the reception staff 3 times in an effort to try and get into our room. This is a very poor start to any holiday. Hotel staff should be prioritizing getting rooms ready for newly arriving guests, this would not be so difficult as the room has to be vacated before 12 noon and most guests will leave much earlier than this. Despite this, we had a lovely holiday, the rooms are lovely and our choice of food at breakfast was fantastic, the food is of an excellent variety and quality. We never had lunch or dinner at the hotel, so can't comment. On the minus side, the hotel is in a fairly quiet, isolated position, you have to get the bus to Pula town if you want a varied, interesting holiday, there is very little around the hotel complex and the number of restaurants and bars is very limited. they are also much more expensive than those in Pula town.

Lovely hotel set a short bus ride out of Pula but easy access. Lots of fab boat trips to go on from Pula. Very clean and modern hotel. Wide selection of food at breakfast and evening meal. Pool area busy but great space around hotel for lounges under trees giving welcome shelter from the sun. Great entertainment in the evening with varied acts and great musicians. We were in the Marina building which was nice and quiet. Would recommend hotel and Pula. Must also visit Rovinj, Porec and Vsar.

Lovely hotel with efficient staff , excellent food choice , great location, clean, good room size, fantastic pools and scenery. Stayed for 4 nights in the marina wing - not all bars open as was still the quiet season but still very pleasant.

Excellent base for Pula city visit. The hotel is smart, friendly and has great facilities such as the salt water indoor and outdoor pools. It also offers lots of great activities for guests such as organised paddle boarding and cycle rides around the local area.

Stayed at this hotel in September. Had a great stay. Hotel situated very near marina, with lovely views. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Romeo and Leah really made the holiday with the Activitiees Programme they organised for us.

Good hotel, good facilities in the rooms - fantastic showers, toiletries, tea and coffee in abundance. Very friendly staff, and a good entertainments team, which was great as the weather was very rainy and stormy for the whole 10 days. Always a good choice of food, both at breakfast and dinner. Very reasonable priced drinks too.

Great break,very relaxing,airport transfers just about 30 'mins so was at hotel for lunchtime giving us an extended break. Departure to Edinburgh was also early evening so again we had a full day which meant the break was extended. Hotel is very relaxing,great beach bar atmosphere and food. Lovely and scenic to walk around and just gazing out at the sea is relaxing. This is our second year coming here,can't wait to go back🙂🙂🙂

Fantastic week,great location and food and lovely scenery. Room fantastic.Easy to get around,great pools,and outdoor attractions. Staff very attentive, variety of buffet breakfast amazing,definitely want to go back again.

The reviews I read before booking were what attracted me to this hotel. (there are also appartments that were very nice) Everything about the whole complex was excellent. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent. Even though the hotel was fully booked it never felt overcrowded as there was plenty of room. ( and always plenty of variety to eat even at the end of the mealtime.) There were lots of places to relax, not just round the pool. You could stay here and never leave the complex if you just wanted to relax and be taken care of. There weren't many children in the hotel but the appartments were full of families and there was a 'kids club' There was a choice of pools and the sea (some to be paid for ) but the main pool was seawater and we loved it. The indoor pool was a bit dark and noisy ( small girls in a group tend to scream a lot) but realy large for serious swimmers and a good range of gym equipment too. I could find nothing to be negative about at all.

Hotel clean, meals 2nd week were poor, had rooms at front of hotel on highest floor very noisy had to sleep with ear plugs for 2 weeks, no marine or nice walking areas have to go into nearest town Pula which is average. entertainment poor at hotel.

We emailed hotel before we left home requesting a double in the main hotel as we were celebrating our Ruby wedding Anniversary. When we arrived the receptionist was aware of this. 1st room offered was twin in wing/ 2nd was twin with view over kitchen. The 3rd one which we accepted had lovely view but was still a twin! Two soft uncomfortable beds! Everything else was lovely, large walk in shower. Kept very clean. We went half board which suited us as we were out and about during day. Food great choice but layout of buffet bit confusing. Staff all very friendly. Would return only if could book double!!!!

Stayed at this hotel first week of June. Weather not too good but made the most of it. We were aware of the hotel's location prior to going but did not realise that there were so few bars/restaurants in around this hotel. Rooms were lovely and clean and linen/towels changed daily. We had probably the worst room in the hotel (730) as there was the biggest palm tree in Croatia bang outside the balcony window!! After 3 days of sampling the food we decided to eat out for the final few days of the holiday as it was of 2/3* quality and certainly not 4*. We were very disappointed with the food. Guests walked round with their plates like zombies looking at the food on offer and not concentrating on their direction of walking and bumping into each other. Entertainment at night was of poor quality and repetitive. Bar prices were ok so long as you didn't order a branded drink. Cost me £9 for a double Martell brandy. I have been to Croatia 4 times now and it was the first time staying in a Park Plaza hotel and I'm afraid it will be the last. We will continue to hoiliday in Croatia and stick to Porec and with the Valamar group of hotels as we have been more than satisfied with their hotels and levels of service.
