Hotel Croatia

Large but friendly hotel. Good facilities. Great location. We had an issue with the air conditioning and balcony door but it was quickly fixed.

The location of this hotel is amazing, it really is very unique and being in the town of Cavtat was great to not be so much in the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Some lovely restaurants and cafes too! The hotel itself I found very strange, not sure if it was due to being out of season or the fact we had a child? But the service was just shocking. We were made to feel very unwelcome with a child and because of that I wouldn’t say this is a very child friendly hotel at all.

We have been to this hotel before and will be definitely returning, the staff are just wonderful and helpful The food is of a very good quality with lots of choice, we have stayed in many 4/5 star hotels and this is amongst the best Cavtat is a very pretty small town with easy access to Dubrovnik by water taxi or bus The setting for the hotel is fantastic with golf buggies available to take you into the town Cavtat is a wonderful little town with easy access to Dubrovnik

Beautiful Hotel, cannot fault anything 5*, I have been to this Hotel a total of 4 times. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. It's a big Hotel but it feels so spacious and nice and relaxing. The golf buggy down to Cavtat was brilliant for my mom. I will always recommend Hotel Croatia to everyone. Can't wait to go again and again 😊

This was our first time visiting Cavtat and Hotel Croatia - we don't usually stay in hotels like this, but as it was our honeymoon we thought we would treat ourselves and it didn't disappoint! We had booked a 'city view' room, facing the harbour, however, on arrival they gave us a free upgrade to 'sea view' room, which really was fantastic. The views are exceptional and we loved watching the boats coming and going, also the first night there was a storm over the sea which was very dramatic to watch. We were only B&B, so cannot comment on the dinner, but the breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice, always fresh and hot, something to suit everyone. One night we tried the Steak House which was brilliant as well. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, all areas of the hotel and grounds were clean and tidy. We really loved the hotel and Cavtat - we ate out in Cavtat most evenings as there is lots of choice and we like to try different places. The only thing I would say about the hotel though is that as it's built into the cliff there are lots of flights of steps everywhere - especially outside, so wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility issues. Best bits were the view and the breakfast, worst bit was the weird design of the toilet... We would definitely come back as we had an amazing time, thank you to all the hotel staff!

Have just returned from a weeks break with my daughter at the Hotel Croatia which we thoroughly enjoyed. We paid for a superior room and we were delighted to find that we had uninterrupted ocean views from both the balcony and room and robes and slippers included. Superb and worth paying extra for as it is what made the hotel special. It is very large and modern and not our usual choice as we find them impersonal and lacking character. Having said that the hotel was run very efficiently and it was spotlessly clean everywhere. The staff were always very polite and efficient. The free hotel buggy service ran up and down to the bay and proved invaluable to us as my daughter has limited mobility on steep ground. We would have struggled without it ,as would a few others with walking issues, but it alao really made a big difference to being able to pop down to the town in just a couple of minutes and carrying heavier things back from the shop.Note that it does not run if it is wet as it's too slippy and dangerous. Whilst this shouldn't usually be a problem the recent weather in Croatia has been very unseasonal and we had rain on a couple of days. We found the food to be very good standard with plenty of choice and food available as is usual in this type of buffet style hotel. The restaurant was really huge and did feel a bit canteen like..especially for dinner. We ate outside on the terrace for breakfast every morning which was much nicer. Beautiful views over Cavtat bay but that wasnt an option at evening meal which I assume was due to weather or being too early in season. Cavtat was stunningly pretty and Dubrovnik a really impressive old city so we thoroughly enjoyed our first Croatian trip despite the weather. For anyone who hasn't been before it is quite an expensive holiday destination particularly Dubrovnik but the quality and cleanliness of food and service we experienced was excellent.

Hotel Croatia’s location is just breath taking. We asked for a sea view room and it was amazing to see the view every morning. The room was clean, the bed was huge and had everything we needed. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They cleaned the room every day and topped up our tea/coffee etc. The atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxed. There are two swimming pools (one indoor and heated). There is a restaurant/bar near the indoor swimming pool. The food (chicken wrap especially) was perfect no complaints. Both swimming pools were very clean and always had fresh towels available (no extra cost). The staff were always walking about the swimming pools making sure there were towels and it was tidy. We unfortunately didn’t get time for the Spa, but it looked great. We spent a bit of time around the swimming pools and the staff tried to remember what we ate or drank. The walk to the village is not for the faint hearted. (the hotel offers a shuttle service everyday) It is a bit challenging as there are several steps. The walk is worth it though as area and the village is lovely, the locals were friendly, and it was very clean. We walked about the local homes, shops and again everyone was friendly. The little port wasn’t bombarded with souvenir shops, they were also selling local produce. We ate at two local restaurants and you couldn’t fault the service and quality of the food. The locals were happy to talk about their village. All and all it’s a go back to hotel.
