Gran Melia Palacio De Isora

This was our 10th visit to Palacio and it was as good if not better than previous visits. For us it’s going to a quality hotel, mainly staffed by long serving members, where you feel welcomed from minute one and the facilities are just outstanding. The food in both Pangea and Oasis meet our need - great choice and service (particular thanks to Alice, Kare, Belen and Yuri) and the quiet adult areas are really relaxing and let you wind down. The evening entertainment is varied but always good quality and again the staff are spot on (Francisco and your team, thank you 😀). Back for Christmas.

My family and I stayed nights on all inclusive basis during August 2022. We arrived in the early hours of the morning to a long check in process and room with damp bedding. The next day, after hunting for loungers around the pool, we soon discovered that there were only 2 choices for lunch! If you wanted to eat in any of the restaurants for lunch, this counted as part of your a la carte allocation! In addition to chat, you were only allowed the single flavoured soft serve ice cream within in your allocation during the day. All other ice cream was off limits unless you paid extra! Crazy! This makes no sense as you could have the different types of ice cream in the buffet restaurant in the evening without paying a supplement. Upon return to our room on the first day, a bill welcomed us for consuming items we never had from the mini bar! When I called reception, I was asked if I was sure I didn’t consume these items?! What?! Not only didn’t I consume these items but the mini bar was never stocked to begin with and I was asked to go down to reception to sort out this issue as they couldn’t possibly resolve the issue over the phone. How accommodating! A few days later, we noticed a terrible smell in our room which we think was sewer backup as our shower would not drain resulting in constant flooding. While housekeeping came to resolve this, this was not resolved and proceeded to flood immediately afterwards. After trying to resolve this with reception multiple times and requested to change rooms, they told us sorry you can’t move as we are 100% occupied! How can a hotel with nearly 500 rooms be fully occupied?! My son, who is autistic and has needs, was sleeping on a pull out sofa that was not suitable for a dog! We requested that housekeeping look into this or bring in another bed but neither was done. Unfortunately we had to share our bed and none of us got any sleep. Ended up going home more tired than when we arrived!!! Not what you expect from a 5 star luxury very expensive hotel. In addition the food was not very good at the buffet or any of the a la carte restaurants. Very disappointed and we are pretty my sure my husband got sick from the food! The toilet throughout the hotel were also dirty most of the time. Yuck! Even when we checked out, the staff weren’t overly concerned about our experience. I spoke to other guests of the hotel who were extremely unhappy as well. Don’t get me started in the hotel ap! Good luck!

We went there with All inclusive plus package and were treated like wr came for free, they sometimes could even tell some rude expression with this occasion. The room was very messy and unpleasant, at our query to be moved from that room ( as was a different one from the one we have paid for), from the Hotel administration told that the Hotel is full and they cannot help us. So for us was a very unhappy holiday.
