Tropical Park

If you're looking for a laid back week in clean and comfortable apartments then tropical Park is the place for you 2 large pools and plenty of sun beds food is ok but there are plenty of good restaurants in the resort of callio Salvaje. Well stocked bar and the staff are really friendly and attentive and callio Salvaje gets more sun than las Americas and Los Cristiano

We arrived late as our flight had been delayed and on arrival at the hotel we were told there was no where to get some food or a drink,we were all hungry from such a long day, we were not offered anything from the hotel and told we had to wait until the morning. We got to our rooms and there was no complimentary tea or coffee and we found out this is not left after the room is cleaned either like you would get in any hotel. There is a shop close by to buy anything so you need to stock up for the week. The hotel is made up of apartments which are very clean and spacious with a large balcony. The only thing is the site itself is very open and anyone can walk in off the street, we had two apartments and when we came back one night the door was open, the staff told us it could have been the cleaners accidentally left it open but we weren't convinced, as we were at the far end of the complex and access to it was really easy, this spooked us for the rest of the holiday and we didn't fully relax. The hotel is situated in a very quite area, there are few restaurants and a couple of bars all of which close really early so we had to travel to Los Cristianos a few times for a bit of life. There was no entertainment at the hotel for the 7 nights we stayed there and the bar closes at 9.30, it got a bit boring after a while. The food in the restaurant was quite nice but not all the staff were. One member of staff very rude to me ,when I went for my evening meal and I had a small bottle of water with me, I had got this from the vending machine outside reception earlier to drink , the staff member came over to me and was very abrupt telling me it was not allowed and not to do it again, water should be purchased from the bar. I actually bought it onsite! I stayed with my 19 Yr old daughter and two friends who are both pensioners and they said it was too boring for them. If the hotel had entertainment it might have been better. I have given a rating of 2 purely for the size of the apartment not the hotel as don't think I would return again.
