Globales Lord Nelson

The location is the hotel's biggest asset, you can walk from the pool area across a boardwalk to a lovely sandy beach and the sea was warmer than the pool ! The room was clean and adequate, but check in at reception wasn't the best. Whilst the staff were friendly and helpful, we had to visit reception 3 times to get all the information that we hadn't been told on the first visit. The restaurant is more a canteen and the food leaves a lot to be desired, breakfast was good, but that was the best meal of the day. Overcooked vegetables, cheap cuts of meat used for evening meals and it was so bland. The worst part of the "restaurant" experience were the flies, just so many of them and they were actually enjoying the meals !!! It didn't help the appetite when the flies get the first choice and are still walking over the buffet cheeses, rolls, desserts, etc and even start with the cold plates stacked to be taken - really not great .... Entertainment wasn't quite what we'd expected, although the archery and rifle shooting was a bit of fun. Will go back to Menorca, but probably not Globales Lord Nelson, the flies can have it !!!

We had a long weekend here The hotel decor was nice and the rooms good with fridge and tea facilities but overall needs updating…. It was very clean and the staff were all excellent but was let down by pool area having plastic tables and chairs not comfortable! Also the restaurant felt like a canteen. Just needs some table cloths and softening with picture accessories to make it look more 4* The food was good for breakfast and lunch but mediocre in the evening! Also the drink situation was strange as cashless you had to buy a wristband to drink soft drinks and wine from machine in the restaurant. It was possible to but a bottle of wine with credit card. Also there are not many other places to eat or drink apart from the hotels. We found 1 bar along the front that also did food and 1 restaurant above shops in the other direction. It was a bit too quiet for us!

Hotel was spotlessly clean, but the food let this hotel down massively. Luke warm, and much of a muchness. Was having to out the food in the microwave, not what you expect from a 4* Hotel!! Also not a chance of getting a bed by the pool unless you got up at the crack of dawn!!! Luckiky the beach was beautiful.

Stayed here for 1 week very peaceful and clean hotel but no bars restaurants within walking distance of hotel and just a handful of shops if you want a sunbed by pool need to claim 1 early in the morning no pool attendance and no spare beds or parasols you can get yourself only sunbeds we got were 2 everyday unoccupied because had no parasol.... beach very clean lovely and 2 minutes from hotel but take your own umbrella and chair because it was 18 euros for 2 beds and parasol daily not good if you don't want to stay all day!! Do not pay extra for side sea view room we did and only thing we saw was palm trees in room 216 on 2nd floor when told reception about Seaview was told no rooms available till Friday and shrug of shoulders so stayed where we were cos we arrived on Wednesday and didn't fancy living out of suitcase till Friday...food good and entertainment every night so if you want a small quiet peaceful holiday this hotel is clean and small and food good

Second trip here as soon as you walk in two of the nicest girls book you in . The rest of the staff brill .the food is very good drinks not a good choice on AI but adequate .The sea views are stunning got to have from 3rd floor up lots of trees but look good . Best place to relax and do nothing pool good size plenty of sun beds you do need to get up slightly early to be round pool but loads round further back The entertainment not grate but one or two very good need some to help with day and night activities saying all that still had lovely time

Had a lovely week at this hotel. Very clean although the rooms are a little small and not much wardrobe space or hangers but that is my only negative. Loads of choice for food, all staff very friendly. The beach being two minutes walk was fantastic. The area is very quiet so we would not have done more than a week but for a complete relax and chill it was lovely. Would definitely go back. Mahon is worth a visit aswell, lots of lovely shops and bars etc.

This hotel was never a 4*. We had a bungalow booked and it faced the back into bins. We had to be asked to move. Food wasn’t good you could not get a sun bed unless you were up at 4.00am! We had to pay to get clean pool towels. We paid £70 euros for a safe and pool towels and got 30 euros back not a deposit. We were sitting having a drink and a rat ram past two nights in a row not good at all

The only two criticisms I have it that the shower cubicle in the room was tiny and not built for tall, broad built people. Also, it says not to reserve pool loungers but despite the pool opening at 10am by 7:30 there wasn’t a lounger without a towel on. Aside from these it was fantastic location, fantastic food and fantastic service!!
