Alua Illa de Menorca

This was our second time at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint, the staff were just as nice and helpful, the hotel clean and tidy and the food good choices, something for everyone and always fresh, regular courtesy bus to the punta prima beach which is lovely. Entertainment team are all very good, they work very hard. The hotel is in a quieter area, but a two minute walk takes you to a bus stop where you can go into Mahon, or walk a further 10 minutes to the beach.

This was my first ever solo trip and this hotel was perfect for that. A super relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful room with a great sea view. The staff were amazing and the food pretty good. Breakfast was by far the best meal. If you’re looking for somewhere with something to do then in all honesty, this isn’t the place for you. If you want somewhere to plant yourself with your kindle then it’s ideal. There aren’t even any shops to speak of other than a couple of mini markets but they stock everything you would probably want. The entertainment is better than I’ve seen at most hotels and they don’t get in your face trying to make you join in. I had a great mini break and should I want to get away by myself again, I would definitely return.

Hotel was great,staff absolutely fantastic, clientele great ,but food let this hotel down everything was cold . apart from that we had a lovely holiday . Hotel is in a very quiet location ,nice walk down to the sea and local pubs as we were there in October most places were closed but it was warm and sunny so just sitting watching the sea was a pleasure .

Clean and comfortable rooms with good facilities We stayed in September it was very hot and the air conditioning worked very well. . As others have said you get one bottle of water in the room for the whole week. Coffee and tea supplies were absent. That said you can get drinking water at reception and a cup of tea or coffee in the bar. The food was plentiful and varied. Buffet style as well as the option for freshly cooked items such as Spanish omelette in the morning or pizza during lunch and evenings. There are lots of options for entertainment during the day if you stay on site or you can get a local bus nearby to visit other areas. There is a mini bus bookable at reception to take you to Punto Prima . Staff all friendly and helpful.

After so long without holidays this was a really good break at a very good hotel. We received a great welcome and the room was excellent. Great balcony views (it's worth paying more for the sea view), great aircon, pool, gym, comfy beds and free safe. The resort of S'algar was a stunning sleepy town with great views, but does have a couple of restaurants to wander down to in the evening, as well as coastal walks. The hotel runs free busses to local towns/villages which is a nice touch as taxi's on menorca are not the most reliable! The hotel is small/mid sized but still dominates the S'Algar skyline. Being on the smaller side it never feels crowded and we had no issues finding sunbeds/tables. Only criticisms would be a slight lack of rotation/options on the all inc meal & drink variety, (although that comes with small/mid sized hotel). The other small point would be that the room doors are quite loud when closing, so if your neighbours are up early for breakfast, so are you! Finally, the staff and entertainment crew are excellent, friendly and make you feel completely at home. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to S'Algar or the hotel.

Great Spring break in a very nice hotel. If you want a nice quiet hotel in a quiet resort then this is a place I would recommend. Menorca & S’Algar never changes much, but the refurbishment of this hotel a couple of years ago has definitely improved the facilities & standards. Good food, comfy spacious rooms, sea views to die for and friendly hotel staff.

Good hotel, in a great location, which is ideal for a relaxing holiday.The staff at the hotel are friendly, helpful and work very hard to make your stay enjoyable. There is always a good variety of food to choose from, and a good selection of drinks are available from the bar..

4th time we have visited this hotel it is not as good as before. entertainment food and drink quality not the same.prices have risen around 150 pounds per person from last year and on top of that there is 72,60 euros tourist tax for two weeks. not value for money.not as many people going so they will lose out in the long run. unless asked for barstaff is giving local cheap brands.

Lovely hotel clean. good food,beds very comfortable slept very well, no noise very quiet all entertainment ceased at 10.30 could have gone on a little longer mainly older people although were a few children.

Great from start to finish, reception, restaurant and bar staff alwzys amazing. Food was superd with no day a problem finding something to suit everyone's tastes. Mandy on customer service was just superb and able to help with any requests. Barek ran a fantastic tight ship in the restaurant. Looking forward to the next time.

Just returned from the San Luis after a very enjoyable 2 week holiday. We booked after reading all the reviews and my wife and I were not disappointed. Friendly check in, lovely spacious bedroom with carpets which makes a big difference. No problems with the meals, always something tasty to eat. Named spirits at the bar and some very good evening entertainment. It is a nice hotel just chill out. The hotel lays on a free bus inti Mahon, its very popular so book early. Again no need to book sunbeds with your towel as there are plenty. We enjoyed the beach cafe down at the at the sea front, not to crowded and there is always plenty a little breeze to keep you cool. We enjoyed our holiday and would return in the future

IF you have teenage children or are over 70 very good hotel. Not good for couples and very remote. Food good standard, Rooms and cleanliness Very Good. Entertainment very poor. Animation team very poor. Resturant and snack bar excellent staff all helpful.

This wasn't my first visit to San Luis hotel but as always very happy with the service we received quality of food and friendliness of staff. This is a very well run hotel you get that personal touch from staff good selection of food and a good selection of amenities.

Brilliant hotel with friendly staff providing excellent value for money. We were all inclusive and the drinks and food choices were excellent and the option to dine at other Port Blue hotels provided further choices, you all should be very proud.
