Zafiro Tropic

The Zafiro Tropic is an hotel that is situated in a well positioned location in Alcudia due to the beach and restaurants. It isn't far from the Old Town that is beautiful to visit. Bus services are very good as well. The hotel itself was okay but it definitely is a family hotel because the entertainment was not really put on for adults and sometimes there was nothing at night. The hotel room was too small due to no storage for food and drink because it was self catering and we had to keep asking the hotel to fix the bathroom door. We were put in the the older block in the hotel that hasn't been refurnished for many years. Other guests were placed in the up-to-date rooms but we weren't. Maid service and the swimming pool were very good. Overall, location is worthwhile here that keeps the hotel going but we would not go back to this hotel. Due to it being October and knowing that the temperatures are a lot cooler in Spain at this time, we expected that. However, the fan or the central heating system is turned off and the room at lot of the time was very cold and no heat was provided for customers to stay warm during the day and/or night.

This was our first abroad holiday with our children age 8 and 7. Great kids club, great pools, lovely food and accomodation. Location is close to beach and harbour and only a 15 mins walk to the old town. Staff are mostly really friendly and hard working. Our only complaints were the 2 drink rule at the pool bar which was only sometimes adhered to. Silly rule when you are a family of 4. Also reserving sunbeds. Not consistent with the 30 mins rule. I would have liked more waiters on a night as we had to wait a long time for our drinks. However, I would return to this hotel as overall it was Fantastic!

We have stayed in this hotel for 5 years. So we have liked it and it suited our needs. This year the room wasn't ready on arrival. Once ready there wasn't even a bottle of water in the room. It was tired with a rusting fridge. The lifts often didn't work and we became trapped in the lift (which was quite small) for over 45 minutes. Once finally rescued (We had to jump out as it was between floors) we didn't even get an apology from management. It is a real shame as we had liked the hotel and the waiting and cleaning staff are friendly.

Zafiro are normally great hotels this one needed re-painting ,the food was almost the same all week,which is unusual , not a great selection on dinner menu, waited to long for drinks and often given wrong drink, staff did not like customers going to bar

Great for kids lots to do and a great animation team. Good location 5 mins from beach and 5 mins from marina. Hotel had great facilities lots of sport's with supervision most times. Pools are clean well maintained and safe with life guards.

Great staff, good hotel. Doesn't look much from the outside but clean and well maintained inside. Kids club is well run and the entertainment is good. Plenty of pools to choose from including a kiddys splash pool with a pirate ship. They children loved it as did the wife and I.

We went to relax and chill out and we did exactly that hotel was beautiful clean and staff were fab could not fault this hotel or the area and location one little bit the facilities were overall top notch would really recommend this hotel to anyone

We had a good holodays but won't go back to this hotel unless we were taking the grandchildren. We didn't research hotel enough it is very child centred. Lovely room,good food and excellent pool area but shortage of sunbeds and they were packed very tightly.

Lovely rooms, friendly staff, great all inclusive, especially the food from the pool bar. Sun loungers available in the middle of August. Great location, close to resort centre. Would definitely go back to Viva Tropic!!

We travelled as a group of 13 we had 3 adults 10 kids 3 in prams 2 autistic. We found the hotel had shoved us in furthest block and on 3rd floor excellent facilties for kids. Cleaners werent clean in block 4

This is the 3rd time staying at Viva Tropic in Alcudia.It's our home away from home.Myself and my family always enjoy our time staying there.The staff are spot on and always are very polite.Jesus is the guy too look out for as he looks after you during your stay.Lets just say that i always had a drink in front of me at night to get me through the entertainment.The food is great especially at lunchtime which is my favourite part of the day.Breakfast and dinner choices have a great range of food to choose from.The entertainment basically caters for kids,but on certain nights the whole family can have a good time depending on the Acts performing.The rooms are spacious and the balcony is a good size.The location is great as it's local to shops,restaurants and bars.We always go out for dinner on certain nights even though we are all inclusive just for a change of venue.Prices are great depending on where you want to eat but can be pricey if you are on a budget.Cant wait until next year to make my way back.Will be booking again very soon..

Well located hotel. Good standards of cleanliness. Good staff. Great pools. Very child orientated/friendly hotel. Would recommend this hotel for families more so than for couples. Food and drink all good.

lovely hotel staff all round lovely and helpful would go back again place was vwry clean kids loved play park and mimi golf which are close togather which was grwat for us as we could play golf with kids and the.others play in park pools are lovely as well

Excellent hotel for families and those looking for a quiet holiday. Clean rooms and hotel in general. No litter anywhere. Rooms are big and cleaned regularly with fresh towels on request. Food was great from heathly options to Gluten Free. Nightly entertainment.
