Having the same plastic cup regardless what you had in it never got changed, after first night we ate out and drank out as having a nice drink in a clean glass is important as we have never experienced that before, plus the drinks selection were very poor.

Couldn't fault this hotel apart from all the steps to get to rooms. Staff friendly, food good, nice walk to beach,

Well....we would never recommend these apartments. So disappointed we waited all year for our holiday taking our 3 teenage grandchildren. Went with an open mind, although this holiday was not cheap. The resort had no water the evening we arrived, no showers, toilets couldn't flush!! The staff were rude, restaurant was only clean if you got in when it opened. We had to clean our own tables and find cutlery! The food wasn't refilled promptly so a lot of selections were bare. Our room wasn't cleaned our bin emptied once in 10 days, clean towels were left every 2/3 days but dirty ones not removed. Our bedding was changed the day after we arrived and never touched for the next 8 days. Our air con didnt work so we were unable to sleep due to the heat. They gave us a portable unit which was useless as we had to hang the hose out the window. The pool bar service was rude. They often run out of drinks (juice/beer). The activities were very random (when there was someone available). The whole resort is trying to run with bare minimum staff and its not working!

Excellent hotel and great variety of food for all ages. Good could have come out quicker when empty. Apartments were clean be prepared to walk up and down steps not good for mobility problems great pools and services

I stayed here with my daughter and 5 month old grandson. We were aware when we booked that it was a short walk from main resort and on a hillside. What we didn’t expect was to arrive in the middle of the night and have to struggle with suitcases, a pushchair and a baby up countless flights of steps to our allocated room near the very top of the hill! Despite complaining over several days, to be told we could be moved, this never happened and we carried a baby and pushchair up and down every day. We were not the only ones, there were other families in the same situation. On a more positive note, the room was clean, comfortable and with air conditioning, but quite basic. The food was good with lots of variety and the pool area and bar service were great. The resort of Cala Llonga is very pretty with a great beach and some lovely bars and restaurants (especially the Mexican) and is only a 10 minute walk down the hill. Local Hippie market on Thursday evening. If you have young children or walking difficulties ensure you book a lower level room, rather than leaving it to the common sense of the staff who allocate the rooms.

Balcony bigger than the room, no kettle or pan to boil water, definitely not suitable for basic self catering. Moved to another apartment which was much better but fridge did not work. By the time we had sorted issues it was time for home. To be honest we were glad to leave definitely won't be returning to these apartments Local people advised that Montemar has stopped running a bus into the town which would have helped when we were wanting to visit Cala Llonga. To say it was on a hill side is inaccurate, street names such as Everest and Kilimanjaro are appropriate despite being a fit family

Booked for self catering accommodation but we were allocated a double room without any catering facilities at all, when we complained we were told it was self catering as we were not using the restaurant provided for those guests on an all inclusive package ! They refused to look at moving us or even offering a kettle and basic crockery to help - absolutely dreadful. The rooms are OK but anyone booking needs to be aware that the apartments are at the top of the village meaning a good uphill walk on your return and the apartments themselves are arranged over a number of levels meaning lots of steps and climbing , there are no lifts- they do not offer any help with your luggage when you arrive so be prepared for this,
