Medplaya Hotel Bali & Aqualand Waterpark

We have been staying at the Bali for 19 years and we have always found no problems with all the staff and the areas in the hotel and we will always recommend this hotel to anyone. What else is we will be going back to the hotel in October and can not wait to be there again.

stayed here for a week in may, hotel is fairly old but the rooms are a decent enough size and of a good standard. Only thing missing for me is a kettle, which would have been good. The food was always great, the pools were fantastic espically the childrens pool. Play area was good and clean and the evening entertainment was ok. The kids love the mini disco. Only downside is drinks are expensive and all inclusive looked like a waste of time as you still had to pay for most things which seemed odd. Other than that we had a great holiday and will return to this hotel.

Great hotel, very clean and food ok, great entertainment for kids all day and night and the reps were great, lots of pools and friendly staff and were all happy to help, reps were great with the kids and the adult entertainment was great, perfect location just a 5 min walk from the beach

Great place for young families as there’s more than one pool, arcade and park. Food is great and different theme nights so variety of food every night, if longer than a week food is repetitive but you can either choose sake or go for something you maybe haven’t tried. Rooms I felt were quite small for a young family of 3, there was 2 single beds and cot all squished together then a sofa with just enough room to squeeze by! Room was always clean

Stayed here for 7 nights with my partner and 3 year old son. Location of hotel was very good, could be a bit of struggle with cardiac hill if you are a bit older. Great for kids with having the kids pool. Rooms are spacious. Food was a little bit hit and miss throughout the week, with the best food being whatever was being cooked on the live cooking area. 7/10

Overall the hotel was clean and the all inclusive food was good with plenty of choice. What let this hotel down was its condition, it’s looking very tired and is in severe need of a makeover. A recommendation for the hotel would be to have an eating area where parents are not allowed to play loud videos for the children to watch as they eat.

We stayed here for 1 week rooms cleaned dailey they were basic but clean and comfortable, nice view from balcony. Food was good and plenty of it , warm and well presented, never found it difficult to find something to eat. Hotel staff very friendly, the entertainment staff were excellent made you feel very welcome and included everyone, and spoke excellent English they work so hard and are a credit to the hotel they made our holiday. Bit of a hill outside maybe not suitable for older people ,but didn't affect us .

Hotel is fine as long as your not looking for luxury.. beds are comfortable, room walls are thin, can hear any noises from next door... eg.. loud snoring, TV's, talking.. Some kids think the corridors are race tracks... Hotel staff are all approachable.. some of them find it hard to smile.. eg restaurant, not all of them but there is 1... Never used the pool area or bar.. as we tend to go out and about... the hotel is just a base for us... Plenty lovely bars and restaurants near by... The bathroom in our room was very 'orange'.. not sure who came up with the colour scheme.. think the hotel could do with a revamp.... Food was very repetitive... and regularly not hot... had to put most dinners in microwave.. where applicable.. heard a few people had complained about this.. But its what you make it.. Not sure we would go back to The Bali... plenty hotels to choose from.. The Marina is lovely for a stroll.. Mijas, Pueblo, Torremolinos are good...

We spend a week at the Bali and had a good week. The food choice is very good but the food does need to be hotter. Everything we did eat was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable, nice beds. plenty of space. The sunbeds are much too uncomfortable and could do with either replacing or some mattresses put on them. I couldn't lay on one of them for more than a few minutes. The staff were pleasant. All in all I would return to the Bali if I was staying in Benalmedena again.
