Hotel Mirachoro Carvoeiro

Have been there many many times and each time it doesn’t disappoint! Lovely relaxed and chilled setting with everything you could want within easy reach. Recommend it to anyone that will listen and they have been so pleased we did. Going again later in the year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was very good. The pool bar was excellent with a great selection of food and drinks. The service from Usman and Rakib was excellent. The Jet2 rep Paulo was fist class.

We've been coming to Carvo for many years, originally owning property. Remembering the hotel being built we decided to stay, public areas are fantastic, The breakfast was exceptional. staff very good, friendly with the exception of one of our room attendance who clearly didn't want to be there and came across miserable but this didn't ruin overall opinion. The room was quiet, but the lighting in the evenings was poor, one thing to change is the shower curtains for screens please when you get to refurb the rooms. We had a great time needless to say we've rebooked for May 2025.

My wife and I spent 2 weeks on holiday in the Mirchora and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all pleasant, helpful and friendly. The breakfast choices were superb and it was easy to get an evening meal at the very many restaurants close by. We enjoyed the pool, walks to the town and the surrounding area and the coastal walks. The beaches were fantastic.

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 15/20 years. Have never been disappointed with the friendliness of staff, cleanliness of the public areas and accommodation or food. The bedrooms are starting to look rather dated and well used but the facilities within are more than suitable for a two week stay. Situation of the hotel at the top of a hill may not suit everyone, but with the number of restaurants and bars within a short walk this need not be a problem. Staff on Reception more than willing to help in any way they can.

Stayed here in May this year good clean hotel with friendly staff. Only doing bed and breakfast when I was there however walk out front door turn left up hill and excellent restaurants, turn right down hill and even more restaurants. A 5 minute walk to the beach and if you don’t want to walk back up this taxi rank at bottom hill takes 2 min to hotel. Their pool bar has an excellent selection for lunch and you either arrange it to be charged to room with reception or you place cash in machine which gives you change ensuring staff don’t have to handle money and food.

Not a 4* hotel, maybe 3.5 Positives are great location, large pool area, plenty of sunbeds, good selection of snacks and drinks at pool bar and reasonably priced, excellent breakfast, pleasant restaurant and bar staff, refurbished reception and bar area, rooms are clean. Area for improvement include more staff required at pool bar especially for food preparation, reception staff could be more pleasant, several trip hazards around the hotel such as low level unmarked steps and sunken/cracked drain covers, some pool tiles require maintenance, rooms are dated, three people in a room with a put up bed is very cramped especially considering all paying full price.

Love this hotel and Carvoiero so stay regularly - the hotel has recently been refurbished and the reception' restaurant and bar now look great - rooms and corridors need doing now and hopefully new mattresses! Only downside is the Wi-Fi - I know in portugal there is limited Wi-Fi but this hotel has to be the worst for internet access - couldn't even get online iin reception! Would still return though because of the location and the lovely pool where sunbeds are plentiful

Staff was very friendly and happy to help. Renovation of the reception, lobby, breakfast room and bar very nice, rooms are in need of updating which I think is going to be happening. Room was cleaned daily to a good standard. Travelled late April and hotel was relatively quiet. Plenty of sun loungers . Only one slight complaint around the pool area especially near the bar there is some slightly raised areas so you really need to look where you are walking .Overall I would return.

It was one of the rare occasions that the hotel was as good as the brochure implied.The breakfast was one of the best we have known.The rooms were very clean.The balcony furniture could have been a bit more modern.

This is the 8th holiday to this hotel and every time it has been 1st class. Friendly staff and superb location. Cannot recommend it enough to mature adult couples in search of a fabulous holiday with a superb pool area.

Just came back and had a great time the hotel was lovely and in a great location. Staff friendly and hotel clean. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. The place is beautiful would recommend a visit. I have booked to go back next year.

The hotel is clean. The location is great. The breakfast is amazing. The pool bar, pool and pool area is kept very clean. Carlos (the pool barman) is more friendly than other reviews would suggest - we got on exceptionally well with him. The room was good, clean and no faults to be found. We are planning to go back in May.
