You’ll be able to tuck in to all sorts of Greek dishes in and around Kypseli. Enjoy your meals with views across the cerulean sea, with fresh juicy salads and glorious grilled meats at the top of the to-chew list. Tapas is great for sharing with friends too.
The cosy local bars in Kypseli are the perfect place to spend your evenings. Enjoy a nice cold glass of vino while watching the world go by, or head to neighbouring resorts such as Zante Town, which are on standby for anyone in search of something a little livelier.
Kypseli, Zante
The small nature of this place means there aren’t too many tavernas and restaurants, but the few that are here are really good. They serve up locally caught seafood and often have some really decent grills serving souvlaki with pitta. Of course, the wines on offer live up to the Zante’s reputation.
Zante
Swim the tranquil waters of Porto Limnionas. You’ll have to take a trek through vineyard-strewn hills on Zante’s wild west coast to seek out this hidden gem. Crystal-clear waters make it a top spot for snorkelling and the secluded location means you could have the heavenly cliff-backed beach here all to yourself. Bliss.
Zante
Zante's patron saint Dionysios of Zakynthos is revered in Orthodox Christianity for his spiritual journey to the Holy Land. His body is buried at the Church of Dionysios. Although he died in the 16th century, his remains are supposed to be fully intact and emit a fragrance of frankincense and flowers. You can visit his tomb at the church today.
