Astir Odysseus Resort & Spa

We were so pleased with the room and the food/bar.... However, if you wanted a drink after midnight, you had to pay... So not quite all inclusive and nowhere to get a late snack was found. The minibar in the room qas included but not much choice and the tea/coffee making was never refilked, There was entertainment in the evening, but seating was limited, so unless you were 1st in to eat, you had no chance of grabbing a seat in the lounge after. The kids mini-disco was laughable... In a conference room, still set up for a meeting! We understand it was the end of the season, but for the money we paid, kind of expected more!

Just returned from a very relaxing holiday with my husband and older children. The hotel was spot on and just as the brochure described. Food was buffet style, but with so much to choose from. We were allowed to spend one evening in the al a cart restaurant where we had a 5 course meal, it was delicious. Hotel right on the beach, hubby and son did jet skiing. Staff friendly. Perfect holiday for us.

Beautiful hotel, would highly recommend. Food was amazing and the facilities very good. My only slight negatives would be the pool temperature, was very cold! And the children's disco was very repetitive (same 30min play list every evening). Tip for Other travellers... Dinner has a dress code, men must wear long trousers and beach towels are available at the hotel. We didn't know this in advance and would have been very useful if we did (husband only had 2 pairs of jeans for the whole week). Overall, would drfdefinit recommend.

What a fantastic place can not say anything negative . Excellent service , food , drinks nothing is too much trouble for the staff . Both pools are really nice always plenty of sun beds non of this get up at 7am to put towels out you will always fine a sun bed no matter the time of day . Not a perfect beach , a bit of s nightmare to get into the sea as it has a large amount of stones and rocks to battle with but once past the stones the sea is lovely and clear and warmer than the pools on the resort . Will be going back when we can !!

We had a fantastic weeks holiday in September this year and have booked again for next September everything was very good staff hotel food was amazing so much choice the pool was outstanding the only downfall was the beach with the big stones trying to get in and out of the sea was hard!

I could not recommend this hotel highly enough even if I tried, it was superb it was an added bonus that we stayed during a heat wave so left with an amazing sun kissed tan. We had a standard double room with the added bonus of a swim up pool right outside our patio. Because of this we only left the hotel to visit Kos once which was beautiful. The room was cleaned to a high standard each day and sheets changed daily, The fridge was stocked every afternoon also. The only down falls were that we didn't get out for an evening meal most nights as the men must wear long trousers which isn't something my husband wants to do in a hot country especially when you wear them 24/7 back in the UK so we spent a lot on room service, only other thing was no drinks are served on the beach so you must walk to the beach bar a lot. Despite that we are already planning booking next year with family and will definitely be requesting room 438

Fantastic stay overall. We're a young couple. Arrived late at night so we missed the evening meal and drinks which we would have otherwise had access to from the all inclusive package we booked; however the hotel had organised two sandwich platters to be left in our room which was nice to see. Greeted with a very spacious, stylish and clean room with comfy beds and two lovely robes. Had a bottom floor room so the patio lead straight out to the pool, which came in handy in terms of grabbing a sunbed early doors. The facilities were excellent, 3 huge pools (the beach side one we found the best), plenty of bar areas and dining areas, sports facilities and a small gym. Only one criticism is the Spa facilities: the massage and beauty treatments have, as you would expect, an extra charge. However to use some of the more basic spa facilities like the sauna or the jacuzzi there are also charges for those too. The service in terms of bar, restaurant and overall hospitality was excellent. The only let down was the evening entertainment; the issue with the hotel is because its so big, at night, everyone congregates in different places which leaves a fairly quiet atmosphere. For some this may be perfect however we wanted a little bit of a buzz some nights. The piano player in the main lobby is fantastic however needs to update his repertoire as there was lots of repeating and most of the songs are all oldies! And while the animation team were an absolute joy to be around the actual quality of their evening antics was not 5 star. Most nights we found our own entertainment and still had a blast. Food was fantastic. A HUGE spread in the main buffet restaurant every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The one free night we got in the posh restaurant was phenomenal, 6 courses with lots of wine and an unbelievable sunset on the beach, the highlight of our holiday. To sum up in 3 words: relaxing, hot and full! Would recommend!

The hotel was amazing and the staff extremely helpful. We were upgraded to a swim-up room when we arrived as we had been to Kos before, the room was perfect for quiet relaxation away from the main pools. I would most definitely return to Kos and this hotel.
