The village is an ideal starting point for some of the best hiking attractions such as the Orlias Waterfalls and Olympus National Park. Visit the beautiful town of Thessaloniki or follow the mountain trail from Litochoro to Prionia for action-packed days here!
The main street of Litochoro splits right between the mountainside, and you can wander the cobbled, vibrant side streets for breathtaking views from every direction. And the serene shores of Plaka Beach are only 5km away, making this an ideal destination at any time of year.
Halkidiki
Shrouded in clouds, Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece and one of its most famous sights. This epic peak has appeared in plenty of Greek myths and is said to be the home of the 12 Greek gods. Lots of well-marked trails for all abilities snake through the mountain, with spectacular views across the surrounding national park.
Halkidiki
As the main beach in the most popular village in Halkidiki, Kallithea is both beautiful and well organised. It’s backed by lush greenery and has pale sands and the most inviting clear waters. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the village. There are facilities for children, sun-worshippers and water sports fans – it’s all here!
Halkidiki
This park, dedicated to the Greek philosopher, is at the edge of the village of Stagira, on a hilltop with views of the Gulf of Ierissos. It’s a lovely setting with hands-on exhibits that are based on Aristotle’s views on nature, science and mathematics. Entry is cheap and there’s a café for snacks and drinks.
