Royal & Imperial Belvedere Hotel

We stayed here for a week in July with family. Great hotel, we stayed in superior rooms which were lovely. Food was very good, included two speciality restaurants, the Greek outside and the Asian restaurant both were superb. A choice of 4 pools which was great for the kids. Had to get up very early though to get sunbeds. Entertainment excellent. Lovely beach 5 mins walk away and lovely Greek villages down the road to visit which were about 30.mins walk in total. Hotel also had free shuttle bus to beach. Grandkids loved the hotel and want to come back next year. Would definitely recommend to families.

The hotel was over a large site, so it took a day or so to get our bearings. But we soon found the quickest way to get to where we needed to be,the pools were fantastic plenty of space to get a bit of shade,if that was what you were looking for. Hotel was spotlessly clean, the food was good,without being outstanding, and we really appreciated that on our last day we were able to shower and change into our travelling clothes. This was also kept spotlessly, with fresh towels put out for use,and put in a washing basket after.Overall very good hotel,and would definitely stay again.

What a beautiful hotel, it is big has about 720 rooms so be ready to walk around. The food they put out each meal is good, a lot of choice - I’m a fussy eater but didn’t struggle at all! The snack bars also provide great food all day, the drinks on tap the self serve ice cream - what more could you need. Very comfy sun loungers by all the pools but the reserving of them does happen so you’ll need to be up early! Staff were very helpful, can’t do enough for you - rooms done everyday with towels changed. We stayed in a deluxe double room with a sea view and couldn’t fault it at all. Having the beautiful restaurant available to book once a week was a lovely touch - Greek and Asian. Would definitely go back

This hotel was awful not disabled friendly in fact not push chair friendly just not friendly. Pact to the rafters fighting for sunbeds the food was average and the alcoholic drinks were terrible. If you want a cocktail which tasted of nothing served to you in a paper cup then crack on. I’ve been to Greece several times this hotel does not portray it in a good way. The only thing I have positive to say is that it was clean even though the cleaning staff tried to clean our room at 17.30 hrs when we were getting ready to go off the complex to get a decent drink. Thumbs down from me.

Excellent hotel, first class facilities and very good staff. The food was very good. It is hard to fault this hotel.

Visited early May soon after Hotel opened. Coincided with the Greek Orthodox Easter, so first weekend was busy then a lot quieter. Room very well appointed and in good fettle. Huge hotel covering a vast area. Had to have a porter show us our room or we would never have found it. We were at the bottom end of the Hotel - so lovely and quiet - but a long way to walk to the restaurants in the rain - until we discovered an amazing subterranean network that, once you know, enables you to get across the whole site undercover. A great place for the kids to explore [accompanied by an adult with a good sense of direction!] .Two large restaurants provided better than usual All Inclusive buffets; but also two street food restaurants open from 10.30 to 9pm - so always something good to be eaten. Several self service points for coffee, cold drinks, beer and wine; or 3 or 4 bars open to 1am. Very friendly staff as the Greeks usually are. Amazing selection of pools [slightly saline], though the beach is a bit distant and not that wonderful either. Really enjoyable local walks into the adjacent mountain villages and Hersonissos old town. Would definitely go again, but high season in summer the Hotel is full and despite its huge size it would have a different and more crowded feeling.,

We stayed as a family of 4 (girls aged 11 and 16). The hotel is huge and I don't think we found everything it offered in the 7 days we were there. Check in was quick and the staff were efficient. Stayed in a superior family room (107) and had great views out of the front of the hotel. Never had an issue getting sunbeds on a morning - even at 9am in August. Food from the snack bars (Gyros / Pizza etc) was hot and of good quality. Evening food was as good as I would expect from an all inclusive. Yes it was noisy and like a school canteen on occasions, but never had an issue getting a table, and us adults always found something to eat. There were a few random options, and the labelling of the dishes is poor, but you take your chances. The food options for kids were poor (not a chicken nugget to be seen!), but spaghetti and sauce was always available. The entertainment team work hard and the evening entertainment was of a decent standard. Just a quick note about the pools - they are all saltwater and the main pool is huge and stupidly deep for a "family" pool. Now onto the not so good. The staff are the thing which lets this hotel down. I have never met a more miserable bunch of people. I appreciate they work horrendous hours (for example the chef at breakfast works on the snack bar until close) but the attitude of the staff is poor overall. At the bar near the stage on an evening it is chaos - and people end up ordering 2 or 3 rounds at a time as your chances of ever getting served again is remote, and the seating area in front of the stage is totally inadequate for the number of guests in the hotel. Be aware that during the day I never saw a lifeguard stationed by any of the pools which I found odd. You do see them wandering around talking to each other, but given the size of the main pool I would have expected to have them on duty. Finally, I think the hotel could improve on its overall cleanliness. The pool areas aren't really cleaned on an evening (like most other hotels I have stayed in) so there is often debris laying around. Our room was cleaned every day (bed made / new towels etc) but the floor or balcony was never swept or mopped in the week we were there, which again I would expect.

We stayed at the hotel for 9 nights. We were lucky to have a nice room with sea view. The food is buffet style, plenty to choose from, and tasty as well. There are several pools and loads of unreserved sunbeds which is always a plus. The entertainment team, worked very hard during the day, interacted with people around the pools, doing water aerobics, yoga etc. The same team did the evening entertainment. The beach is situated just over the road from the hotel (10mins walking) It's a nice mainly sandy beach, you had to pay for the chairs and umbrella, 3.50 and 3 euro. There is a few shops within walking distance and bars, rental car places, etc. The reception staff were friendly and polite as were the staff in the dining area, snack bars. Would recommend to couples, family.
